£5 reward from Hfax went in so I've made the first CC payment of the month.
Can't borrow friends bike as it's at her ex's house and we've decided it will be more hassle for her than its worth. But I went to circuits last night, did fitness DVD this morning, will go for a walk at lunch and then try and drag my legs out for a run later! So bike or no bike, I will do this! Also another friend has said she'll come to circuits with me tomorrow night, so that will be nice to have a friend there!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

How's the ankle holding up with all the training you are doing Twiggy?

Hi Tinkerbelle - Ankle is holding up ok, sometimes a bit still/achey after but not too bad. However its the rest of me that hurts today! Yesterday I did a fitness DVD in the morning, went for a walk at lunch (inc walking up 90 steps) and then went for a 3.7 mile run - the first two miles of which were uphill (not steep hills but still hills!) So circuits tonight will be fun when pegging the washing out this morning was hard going! :rotfl: But tomorrow will be rest day so wont do anything too strenuous just maybe a nice dog walk.Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Training is going well. Money saving not so much! I don't know what is wrong with me but I have been a bit spendy recently. I'm think about maybe paying minimum off CC at the end of this month and giving myself more to play with to maybe get this out of my system and back on track. Maybe, but probably just have a stern word with myself!
Saturday I went to Silverstone with my friend as she was given hospitality tickets. Had a good chat in the car, wondered around, had a free lunch, and then chatted the whole way back! Only spent £10 on fuel so that was good.
Yesterday I then ran 3 miles to my parents to see my aunt and uncle who were down for the weekend, and then ran the 3 miles home again. Then had to pop to the shops as wanted to get a proper ankle support before Tough Mudder. Also needed to get some new sports bottoms - ones that will wick away water for TM and also needed a long pair for circuits to avoid bites. So got a long pair that have "wicking technology"! Also got a new sports top, again to wick water away, but may take it back and get a long sleeved one instead.
This training has made a bit of a dent on my meal planning as by the time I'm done each night only have time for a quick dinner and have just generally been feeling unprepared. So I'm going to do a meal plan in a minute and make sure I've got all the bits for dinners this week. OH goes away in a few weeks so I'm going to use up all the odd portions of things we've got in the freezer for that week, meaning I can use more of the food budget to restock on meat etc. I might even go to the market that week actually.
I meant to put a few things on ebay last night but completely forgot! So now I'm going to diarise to do it the Sunday night when OH is away, as that means they'll finish at the end of the month and so hopefully go for a bit more as people will have money!

Maybe it's worth having a month off the debt slaying. I know a few people on here who are alternating between going flat out one month then doing the minimum the next. There's no harm in that. It might be just what you need in the long run?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Thanks Bob, nice to know it's ok to have a month off!
I think part of the problem is that OH owes me some money at the moment, so rather than the extras he gives me going off the debt or towards the house, it's just servicing his debt. So this is making me feel like I'm not making great progress which is giving me itchy feet to just go "oh sod it"!
I actually managed a NSD! First one in a while! Otherwise on the money front things are looking ok-ish. Although there is no way now that I'll make my targets for the end of the year, but never mind! I just need to keep chugging along and eventually I will get to where I want to be! Kind of the same with my training for Tough Mudder - feel like I'm chugging along! But only have two and a half weeks to get in shape. Not good when today I feel like I've been run over after a hard circuits session last night!
Ok - so by the tone of this post, it would appear I'm in a negative frame of mind today! Funny, as I didn't even realise until I read back this post! So let's end on a positive - only 2 weeks until pay day!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Whatever happened with his job Twiggy? I'm assuming he didn't quit?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Oh yes - the job saga! Well he did "quit" on the basis that he knew they would be stuck the following week and so would pay up the money he was owed. Fortunately he was correct and they did and did still want him to work for them!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Oh - just thought of a positive to brighten up my diary and show I'm not all negative! Lodger will be back from his travels at the end of the month meaning I'll get his extra rent money!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
