Twigs - I think it's a good approach.. for my own part I need to decide what to do next too once DF.
We own a flat which is too small now to ever be our home again and have had it let to the same tenant for 7 years whilst we rent a 3 bed house. The flat has done very well but houses have gone up even further still.
We can't decide whether we should try for a house again although we'd need to move further out. And whether we should try and keep the flat anyway so either remortgage that to release equity or start saving every penny for a fresh deposit once DF.
It's a head scratcher. Especially as my income is unstable and unlikely to count for much. So OH will carry the can on what we can borrow I'd guess. It's a bit of a tricky one.
So anyway long winded way of agreeing that financial goals are important otherwise you muddle along like us!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

My DH can be a bit narrow sighted at times grumbling about the lack of money and I', like - I'm flinging everything at debt and the mortgage so you can retire 5 years early and not work till you are 70 you donut!!! Men!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Don't really feel I have much to report but need to make sure I check in and keep myself on track!
Finally reached £40 on OnePoll! So that's been withdrawn and just waiting for it to hit paypal and then I'm thinking £20 debt and £20 house but I may (see how indescive I am!) pop £10 in the EF and then £15 debt, £15 house! Apparently my goals aren't helping my decisive-ness! :rotfl:
OnePoll and Swagbucks are something I must really get back into, as although it takes a while it does add up eventually!
Off out for lunch tomorrow to see my friend who's over from Aus and finally meeting her fianc!! He's been in Aus for the last 2 1/2 years so never actually met him and if I don't meet him now the next chance I get will be at their wedding next year!
I was naughty and bought some clothes yesterday - although I have money in the pot for them so not that naughty. 4 (yes 4!) pairs of jelly shoes as I couldn't decide what colour I wanted and they were reduced to £1 and 2 dresses in the sale plus used a 24% off code - so definitely some bargains! Hoping they'll turn up today/tomorrow morning so I can wear for lunch tomorrow but refused to pay extra for next day delivery!
Think that's enough rambling for now!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

I was bad with money this weekend and I don't like it! Overspent on shopping but not because I bought things we didn't need, we just needed a lot (no washing powder, toothpaste, washing up liquid, sugar etc etc!) However because overspending mucked up my budget I then went into "sod it" mode a little bit! But I am determined to shut that mood down as sometimes once I get into it, its easy to think well I might as well continue and behave from payday!
However, in other aspects, I started blitzing the house! Pulled everything out of lodgers old room, and cleaned behind things and then tidied his stuff away, so room is now lovely, clean and tidy! Next room to tackle is the second bedroom, although that room has some of my OH's staff which I'm not sure where to put so I'll need to get him involved in that one! Possibly start that tonight but also want to mop the floors and have a couple of other things to do.
In sorting out upstairs I also found all those CDs which I promised to music magpie etc! So by the end of this week I really must do that, as I want the money and don't want them hanging around anymore! Maybe that can be my job for tomorrow night, as I still have them roughly sorted into who will take/give me most for each. Must also speak to OH about using his dad's ebay account to sell those bits of clothes I still have lingering, plus I think I could easily add a few other things to the pile!
Also had a lovely long walk with the dog yesterday as ankle was finally feeling better. However apparently I overdone it, as now my ankle is aching again. Getting worried now as tough mudder is getting closer and I haven't done any training for 2 weeks now because of this ankle and had planned to go back to circuits tomorrow but I'll wait a bit longer! However, at least I'm saving money not going to circuits and I'm not a member of a gym which I'd pay for regardless of whether I was using it or not.
Also decided to start doing slimming world again - but the MSE version! So I'm going to dig out my old books later and re-read them as I can remember roughly what to do - don't eat rubbish!!!:rotfl: However, we don't have any scales at home! Maybe I'll pop to my parents later and weigh myself.Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
