Bloody-minded about sums it up.
She doesn't do working together co-operatively. Her attitude all round has boiled down to "I will tell you how we (ie her) do things here"....
At one point early on I didn't twig to interpreting what she was saying to me. I have twigged since and it boiled down to a (not very veiled) threat not to try and interfere with the status quo.
But you must have downloaded them? And shown her (or attempted to) ?0 -

It does not appear to be possible to get hold of a copy of someone's "Deeds".
What other people can obtain is "Title Plan".
"Deeds" is what people used to have on their houses.
"Title Plan" is what they have these days and have done for some years.
Her house still has "Deeds" only and these aren't accessible to me, as the house has been in her ownership so long that it doesn't have a "Title Plan".0 -

I see.
I assumed most/all title plans were available!0 -

A heck of a lot of houses have Title Plans these days, but not all.
I think different areas introduced Title Plans at different years?
I think, as far as I can see, that a house will basically have to have changed hands since some point in the 1980s in order to have a Title Plan.
Title Plans are much the best system I feel, and the sooner everyone has one the better, but I'm guessing it could be another 20 years or so before the vast majority of houses have one.
Mind you...a surveyor said to me that he and his fellow surveyors have noticed rather more disputes since Title Plans became widespread. Having said that, it would help in this case if I had hers, but it is what it is....hence my regarding her applying to steal a bit of my garden off me (under "adverse possession") as at least having the blessing of proving that it quite definitely isn't hers.0 -
OP could always try her local archive centre to see if there is information there about the property. There are all sorts of reasons why useful information gets kept quite apart from the land registry end of things.0

Thank you for that thought.
I've scanned online archive records of everything I could see and no joy to date.
Am now onto historical planning applications.0 -
The chances of what you want being available online are pretty well zilch. Go into a library and borrow a book on house history, read it carefully, then go to the archive centre, chat up the staff, and explore the catalogues and indexes. Be prepared to spend some time on it - treat the first visit as no more than a familiarisation exercise.0

One question - I think I missed a mention of exactly how big an area we're talking about here, and what proof you have that this land is part of your plot...?0 -
I think I'm prepared to give a prize to anyone who can manage to refer to archives without using the D word.0
