Well done on the sales xx
I know what you mean about waiting in for couriers but since one near me opened up I don't use rm anymore for my ebay sales as its much cheaper xxdawnybabes wrote: »I drop parcels off at our local 24 hour petrol station, makes life so much easier
Thanks guys. I print all my postage at home and drop off at the delivery office on the way to work. They give me mail sacks and stamp my POP. Very easy and there's very little I sell that is bigger than a 2kg small parcel so only £2.80 with RM.
I use the couriers for larger items which are more expensive to post."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Haven't been on really for a few days. Have been keeping busy though!
We did a car boot on Saturday and cleared quite a lot of stuff. I've been keeping going with the listings and sales have been quite good, so two big sacks to the sorting office, two bigger boxes to the courier, and I've still got some more to go.
I'm not sure why we aren't seeing a difference yet!
DH finally went through his ebay listings and adjusted some prices on things that have been on for a while. Two are now selling so fingers crossed some more do as well.
Touch wood, I've been feeling a bit better so am feeling more able to do stuff at the moment.
We had a good attack at the garden on Sunday, so that's looking much better at the moment as well.
Just trying to get some more on ebay at the moment. I was going to send a load of dvds to Music Magpie, but it hurts me when they are offering only 10-30p for them, so I'll give them a couple of gos at the car boot before I do that.
I might have a look at Amazon trade in for some books, I only sell for 30-50p so if I can get anywhere near that then it will mean I don't have to carry them.
Hope everyone is well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Morning everyone
I did manage to get a few bits listed yesterday, and am doing some more this morning before work. Little jwil is deciding to get up super early at the moment, so he is watching cbeebies while I do some listing.
I also decided to carry on with the rug I am making yesterday. I haven't done any for a while and need to get it finished! It will clear a lot of wool once it's done and little jwil does need it in his room. I started it before Christmas, and am still only halfway through it
Weathers not looking great for Saturday so doesn't look like we'll be able to sell this week.
A friend and I have received tickets to be in the audience for Pointless! We love the show so very excited. We did audition to go on it, but weren't successful. We are going to try again though"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Ooh, quite pleased, a couple of the items I listed this morning have sold already :T
I've been putting things on BIN to try and clear them quickly and it's working. I've put them on BIN with best offer and added a little to them so that if someone makes an offer, it still gets me what I want for the item. Most have sold without an offer :T
I still use auctions for those where I don't really know what the value is or think there's a chance of a bidding war"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Thanks OFLovely to 'see' you.
I love seeing those emails as well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Just downloading a load of new audio books onto my ipod. I have started asking DH for a subscription for my birthday and Christmas, so I don't get anything physical (to add to the clutter), but get something that gives me endless joy throughout the year (I listen to audiobooks in bed).
It's such a great gift for me!
Yesterday bought the joys of the boiler service reminder and RAC renewal.I've got to find that money now as well for next month.
Todays plans are to try and dig out some more stuff for ebay. I'll list the last few things I have already prepped as well.
I've got one lot of washing out on the line at the moment, and the bedding is in the washing machine. Weather forecast says it's going to be dry today, but it looks suspiciously dark out there like it's going to rain. What's the betting that it does!
I've had a letter from one of my creditors saying that they are going to start reducing my credit limit by £100 a month. That's not a problem in itself, but does mean I'll have to send more money to that one rather than some of the others to ensure I stay within the limit.
It's a bit annoying in the sense that I cannot control which debt I pay first, but not annoying enough to make me complain. it's one of my largest debts, but not high interest, so not one that I would automatically target first. It will be a relief to see it going down quicker though."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
