  • Well it has come to the that time of year again, hols looming, Christmas creeping closer so time to tighten the belt again, lose a few pounds and make some plans for the rest of the year.

ALL THINGS KIDS...Another two weeks til kids go back to school here, I have just started to look into finances for everyones hampers so think it's time we took stock with ours. I can't do overtime over the hols as relying heavily on inlaws at mo for childcare but hoping to maybe pick up an extra shift a week when the kids go back to school.. Also hoping to swap some shifts around in work so I can drop a day after school childcare is needed as it all adds up, DS is dropping his football club this year which is an extra £15 quid monthly in the pot but I am sure he will find something else to do he is mulling boxing and bowling over at the moment. Most of his school uniform is bought now he just needs to choose a new bag and stationary etc. We have a birthday party to go to next week for a friend, we need to pick up a gift for so will do that whilst out bag shopping, he had a haircut Friday so won't need another before school re-starts. My step son is 18 this October so need to start saving for that this pay day, hmmm. Eldest two are no problem really thank goodness both working but need to get my middle son to start paying lodge this month as finally been made permanent at work so that's a must I think 6 month rent free is ample time to gt on your own feet...

HOLS... We are going to Greece end of October so that is another money pit, hubby usually saves for hols tho so can't really complain, I have bought most of our hol clothes last few months in sales etc but we do need new cases and hubby is lovingly eyeing up the IT expensive cases !!! We are only going for a week thankfully and we are all inclusive so won't need a lot of money, but will need some just encase money with all the kerfuffle out there at the moment. I really wish we were going somewhere a little more peaceful tho but I don't want to even think about that or I won't be going nowhere.

Santas pot.. Is looking worse for wear but this can be remedied with no credit cards or store cards as I really am not spending a lot this year on no-one. When the kids go back to school I intend grabbing shifts and banking that money, £50 a week into savings for xmas, from 1st week Sept will be ample for all gifts and food but must be adhered too. We also have vouchers to spend from Park so not too worried. But and it is a huge but no cards are to be used. We/I dug myself out of a huge hole in January clearing 3 catalogues, 2 cred cards 2 store cards and now have a payment plan in place for final bits to clear over the next year or 10 lol But I have accepted the fact and I am not even bothering stressing myself out trying to clear them off in a mad rush Jan-April was horrific this year I am surprised I never had a breakdown looking back, but all done now..

    WEIGHTY issues...
So far this year I have lost 35.5lb hoping to lose another 28lbs or so this year then have xmas off :)

GROCERY issues OMG my spending on groceries have gone through the roof last 3 months this has to stop now I am officially going to run down all cupboards and freezers starting from last weeks shop.. Every cupboard in the kitchen is bulging which is senseless we are now a small family with us 3 adults in work Mon-Fri and DS in school so really speaking maximum we are eating 2 meals a day at home each.. I have DE cluttered everywhere else sold all our old junk to pay to decorate bedroom, kitchen hall etc yet kitchen is bulging with foods !! Madness..
