I think you should cut yourself some slack regarding the argos card just a while ago you were letting it go to debt collectors and now you've nearly paid it off xx

A sneaky little £25 paid off Argos this morning, had a very spendy weekend but I haven't really spent anything on the house in months so not so worried. Stocked up on new towels bath mats and a new shower curtain for bathroom I already have a roll of wallpaper to paper one wall as it never gets wet or damp in there but needs brightening up badly. Also picked up a bathroom cabinet for downstairs loo with same mats and towels.
Our microwave blew up on my mother in law last week so have ordered a new one and a kettle and toaster.
Last but not least new bedding for my bedroom and going to change my curtains in bedroom for a lighter pair but got them here.
And bought a few bits in primark but sons clothes are always budgeted for anyway he needed some underwear and jamas.
A friend of mine has a shabby chic kinda business and I have bought a lovely dressing table off her being delivered tonight so £200 all in could have paid off Argos but home was looking boring and unloved which depresses me so I am fine with the spending especially as most of it was paid with cash !! A def first.

Down to £175 on Argos now going to pay that damn cheque in tomorrow hopefully, trying to get to the bank when you work 8-4 is a total nightmare so will finally pay that off and then £70 Friday and £70 next Friday no excuses.

Fitbitting is going fab upto 12,000 average a day now and enjoying the challenge but very time consuming too and lost 3.5lb this week so happy with that side of things...

I personally have a credit union loan for [STRIKE]£3000 [/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1275[/STRIKE] £1250 that I pay £25 a month on but it has dragged on forever and would like to make extra payments on this, plus owe a local shop[STRIKE] £508£358[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£308 [/STRIKE][STRIKE]£258 [/STRIKE][STRIKE]£208[/STRIKE]for flooring this is a pop in and pay whenever your passing type arrangement.this is now all paid up x

April catch up- It has been a while diary I have been busy with life work etc have had a few spendy days but nowt too bad Argos is now cleared, as is my flooring so thats another 2 bills ticked off, I have kept up with monthly payments to an old water bill and my credit union loan also been paying a few pound into a savings account so Christmas will be covered with no worrying. We are finally out of DMP with stepchange and they have contacted Barclays and all other debtors telling them so, but we have cleared everything now apart from Barclays overdraft and loan and this is the last thing to be sorted out, it is heading for hands of their collection agencies and no further interest has been added thankfully. The overdraft is clearable within a month the loan isn't so I will make an offer to sort these as soon as they contact us..;)

I am finally starting to relax a little regarding money although this has led to a few bits needed for the house and things wanted also, we are now using cash and actually have money at the end of the month which is completely alien to us although I did by 2 huge solid pine pieces of furniture last week instead of doing an un-needed tesco shop :rotfl: but we survived and now have lovely furniture lol..

Plans for April is to clear a few hundred off my credit union loan I owe £1250 now but also still have a few hundred in shares which is totally bizarre that they wont use my savings to pay off my loan :eek:
It would be clear a lot sooner but at least I will have a lil bonus when this is cleared, so yes pay a third off this loan at least and hopefully sort a regular payment to Barclays for the loan and overdraft and that is basically it for debt busting I am not going to kill myself overpaying the loan we have cleared £4500+ since Dec and I am so fed up of numbers at least for time being. But it is so nice not to have letters demanding money through the door. No threatening phone calls etc.

Easter is just about sorted eggs are bought I have money put away ready for buildabear treat for Nath, I am not going mad.

Fitbit is going fab a basic 14,000 steps a day diet is erm just going lol How ??? :rotfl: Cant wait for the weather to break now to actually get out walking instead of wandering round the house like a maniac x

Anyway time to move xx April 1st catch up..

Well time for round two, Barclays have finally sent our accounts to Morecambe so have made an offer for a monthly amount and waiting to hear back off them we still have a loan with credit union ticking away and I am guilty of spending needlessly again so time to start watching the pennies we have still paid off all our credit cards and store cards and nothings been added to them, we have decorated bedrooms and kitchen bathrooms next and we have everything here to do it, soooooo going to restart paying off extras going to clear the overdraft first and then possibly the loan but we will see. So Ms diary that's where we are going

Just a lil check in all going well here, a payment plan is now set up for £50 a month to clear old bank loan, we had an offer of a debt company to reduce our overdraft debt of £842.50 to £450 if we cleared it within 2 weeks but when we rang to pay it he wanted to know the ins and outs of a cats bum so we refused to give an incoming and outgoings and will sit on the cash in our bank for a while til they make the offer again or maybe even a better one. No new debts and my credit union loan is down to just over £1000 not pushing to clear it this year but 2016 I will be, I'l clear it in January... So all tickety boo here starting to pick things up for Christmas but really not going mad this year for anyone our home is finally de-cluttered and want it to stay that way, we have finished decorating apart from Living room but only need some wallpaper and emulsion and not doing that til November after hols so its fresh for Santa lol
