:hello: Hello oldies, newbies and inbetweenies I'm back. Been to sunny France on holiday. Had a fab time and now back to the rain.
I can't catch up on all your chat but hope nobody is flooded (doubt you'd get this if you were), unwell or any other disasters natural or man-made - I stress the man.
Somebody please update me on any gossip, will unpack, shop etc tomorrow and back to my stardrops and micro cloths on Monday xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I love that comment solwaykid and think you're right 'carpets are not the way forward!'
It's a difficult one about people coming to stay. I guess sometimes you just have to put yourself first so you can recharge your batteries and be ready when other things come your way. Difficult one though. There's a lot of spamming today! xxJanuary budget

Welcome back dustykitten - did you have nice weather and a good time?
Thanks LJD1 the answer is yes and yes although I don't think it was a hot as would be normal for the time of year but hardly any rain was good enough for us!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
All done, well sort of, still a sock mountain but that's now in a basket out of the way, also found the clean laundry I pressumed DP had put away, well of course he haddn't, he'd hidden it. So must have put away 10+ wash loads tonight but all done
Phew. Had half a bath, forgot to put water heater back on when bathed littlies, but felt good
Dusty, welcome homepleased to hear you had a good time, fingers crossed weather stays nice here so you can get the hols laundry done.
LJD1 my Dad's dog had a similar issue and when we got Luke I was pleased I put him in the hall to sleep that night, there was no wonder that there was a smell of poop in their house and they wanted rid as we literally had to cut the carpet, roll it up and throw it out. Luckily it was just what they'd fed him that caused it, I know exactly how you feel and fingers crossed she's better soon. As for laminate I've used the cheap stuff from Ikea and B&Q and it's just as good as the damn expensive one we put in the living room if not better. Good luck with your mission.
Post will be up about 8pm ish tomorrow as we're at the airshow on the afternoon, but DP needs to be back for 8 to get rid of the trailer full of tracks that we've freecycled to another club. One day I might be more organised...........

One load of washing done and on the line. Rained hard overnight but it's dry at the moment so hopefully it might dry.
Prepared all the veg for dinner.
Read the paper.
It's a hard life0 -
Glad you're back feisty_fairy, believe me if I can do this flying things then anyone can. My husband thinks i've left home and been replaced by an alien which suggests how bad I was at housework before. I'm far from perfect now but getting there.
Today we're putting shelves up in the porch so the shoes etc are out of the hall and i'm going to start preparing the hall, stairs and landing for painting. Once that's done the floor can go down.
I was telling DH how the house was starting to get to me with little jobs that he's not finished so he told me to write a list of what needs to be done. He's going to do one job a week so in theory, if I do a few things too, it might just be finished by christmas. It's be so much easier to keep tidy if it's not full of unfinished DIY! Have a lovely Sunday xxJanuary budget

Hi there :hello:
I have been directed here by pigpen who recognised in my thread that I am utterly useless when it comes to housework. I have a four year old and an 18 month old and am 24 weeks pregnant and my house is a pigsty!
I have quickly scanned through this thread and feel much more motivated already. Having read feisty fairy's first post, that about sums me up - I HATE housework too!!
I plan to make a fresh start from today. Won't be long before my house is spotless:rolleyes:Proud to be dealing with my debts0
