Clothes are feeling better, mobility has further decreased and pain increased. My problem has always been that the less I weigh, the less padding I have and the more pain is caused, hence why the weight went on in the first place!
When I was goal weight, I could barely move, I was in absolutely horrendous pain and it was only when pounds started to go on, the pain eased a little. Unfortunately, the pain then started to get more when I was bigger and I am back to the horrendous pain but several stones heavier than the goal weight horrendous pain I had before despite losing nearly 3 stone since last October.
I knew the pain would get worse but to me, the reduced risk of stroke, heart attack and diabetes is worth it.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
The boys would disagree about the need for a male parent, as far as they are concerned, they are so much better off without him than with him.
They are glad we divorced and think their lives are better without him being here, quite sad really but he has well and truly lost them through his own actions.
Of course. Their actual dad has been fairly useless, or worse than useless, as far as we can tell from the stuff we've gathered from what you say. But I think you live not all that far from your parents, and you and your boys see your dad fairly often, don't you? So they have him as an adult male who's a permanent fixture in their lives.
I am only asserting that their lives would have been missing something if the only permanent adults in their lives were women, not that the presence of their actual father is essential, or even beneficial if the father happens to be an idiot.Clothes are feeling better, mobility has further decreased and pain increased. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
My arm rehab is gathering pace. my shoulder now moves and I can move my arm in a reach at waist height. I can translate this into functional tasks. Yesterday I made crumble topping inthe magimix, and yorshire pudding batter in the kitchenaid . I am keeping the laundry up to date, sorting washing, carrying it downstairs, pegging out on the washing line, taking washing in. all using both hands to do the activity. Fine motor skills still MIA, and I need to be careful not to try to carry too much or continue with an activity if I am in pain, but I am so pleased with the rapid progress made since i overcame the sundry illnesses.
I can't wait to see what progress i can make in another month.0 -
Joy! Med students were seeing practice or what ever they call it in human medicine. Now, while I cannot prove that being watched by someone else, impacts behaviour.......wow. Was like a different person.
Some good news......things do not look worse this time, one aspect is even improved. The chances of me losing eyesight seem significantly reduced As a result. ( the potential hope of this is a big woot) I can start fiddling with some meds with the idea being to see if I can maintain this on reduced dosage.. (When done fiddling with meds I am advised to take another med to try a different approach. I'm not sure about that one)

Managed to free off the daffodils from the honeysuckle, but they're all falling over now! :rotfl:
Absolutely gorgeous evening here, though rather chilly.Looking towards Llanbedrog Head from deck by ukmaggie45, on Flickr
OH has pruned down a bush on other side of the wire that was beginning to obscure our view of Garn Fadryn... This is important to keep clear, as some years ago OH and our daughters and friends went and climbed up it (not a long climb, more of a strenuous walk) and I was able to see them at the top using my Dad's telescope (actually an Adlerscope for anyone feeling pedantic) that he had just given to OH.
Anyway, OH sitting outside on the deck enjoying a well deserved can of beer now. Too cold for me.
Here's another pic of the glorious clouds and hills across the bay.Clouds over the hills in the evening by ukmaggie45, on Flickr
OH finding it too chilly now too! He's laughing at the 8 potential feeding stations on the bird food, and just 2 greenfinches, but as OH says "that's not the point, is it?" The greenfinches are very pugilistic. :rotfl:0 -

Oh and I lost 2lbs this week bringing my total to 1 stone 9.5lbs since 12th Jan....I'm a tiny bit chuffed to say the least.
In fairness I did say a good male role model rather than any old one!
Congrats on the weight loss too.0 -

Yes, I'm big happy if I can keep that one.. I think maybe the sleeping so much helps, or just doing so much less. ????
Anyway. Its good news, and I'm grabbing hold of it tight!0
