DS2 arrived home from uni.:) With a suitcase full of washing
He is maturing. Said he was going to visit the GF during the holidays. I said I wanted him home over Passover (big family get togethers planned) and he said it was that weekend that he had been planning to go but he would re-arrange. I was expecting a row, but he was totally reasonable.
Think James is maturing too....he did his washing before he came home, so no bags of washing coming in through the door when he arrived back!
Think my nagging finally got through, when he received his last student loan, he loaded up his laundry card with enough credit to get him through until his next loan.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Just been looking on ebay at puddle lane books I read when I was a kid, got permission from mrs percy to re-establish my collection ready for mini me.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

If you're looking at ebay Percy, it's worth also looking at Abe Books... similar prices, from second hand book sellers:
http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/SearchResults?an=Sheila+K.+McCullagh&sts=t
Many are on with the same seller so worth contacting them to see if you can make a deal. They would have factored postage into the pricing. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Never bought/used either of those before - and kept an eye out and bought them about 3-4 weeks ago .... all I needed to do was wait for chicken or turkey to turn up ... and it's part of this weekend's Lidl Half Price Weekend. So I've just gone and bought 375g of turkey breast, £1.29.
So then it was "what've you got, lob it in" curry. Red onion, white onion, carrots, green beans .... and then the turkey, coconut milk and 2 heaped teaspoons of paste (50g as I weighed it so I'd know).
Only got to wait 5 hours now.
SC on here too - lamb curry.
Bought some aubergines and rather a lot of okra really cheap. Then found some lamb to go with them. The end of a jar of curry paste, a diced onion, and a jar of chopped tomatoes.
Will serve with tomato/ cucumber/red onion/ yoghurt and half a naan bread.
Not sure there is quite enough curry paste in there, so might have to get creative with some extra spices. Also haven't put the okra in yet - as I'm not convinced they'll slow cook well. Will see what google suggests, and if all else fails I'll stir fry them and add at the end.
Finishing off filling the green bin. Mainly with brambles it seems. Then I think I should give the house a quick clean0 -

Looks great, spotted a few bulk listing on ebay which could be worth it but I can see your link is better when it comes to buying individuals (5% quidco cashback too). Will get in touch see if I can get a bulk deal with a seller too.

They charge you to collect recycling or garden waste? I don't see how they can meet their targets to avoid landfill if they charge people not to use landfill. They do that here too. Its to offset against council tax stasis. Its because not everyone needs a green bin ( composts, no gardens, ability to take to tip them selves as needed etc etc) where as countil tax would impact on all. You still only put what you are meant to put in the rubbish bin,.0 -
They do everything here... but they do keep saying how their landfill rates are among the best in the country. I don't have much garden waste and would put it in a black bag in my normal bin if they didn't separate it. I think the garden waste is composted and used on council flower beds, as well as sold back to the public. They sell back bark chippings too. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I have 2 green bins and fill them both when the garden gets everthing trimmed, no charge here in Manchester.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

no extra for collecting the green bin here, and we can buy extra bags if needed. I figure I'm paying for it already in my council tax, so I should make add much use off it as possible. It makes quite a good fortnightly target to fill the bin. I regularly help the neighbours get value from their bins too
(I'm dealing with a decent sized garden that was looked after by students for 10 years...)
Google didn't seen to suggest okra in a slow cooked was a terrible idea, so they're now in (curry needed thickening anyway!). Flung in some garam masala and some chopped finger chillies to add a bit more flavour too.0
