    Yet :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I'm currently listening to someone singing 'Drop the Pilot' at karaoke at the pub round the corner from my house. I ain't going to be processing any time soon. Unless I opt for an anonymous donor...

    Just to add...I was thinking more along the lines of a sperm bank rather than dragging someone back to mine and not asking their name!

    Probably not much of a surprise, but I've been thinking a lot recently about whether I could be a single parent or not. I've got as far as its one thing if its an accident and entirely another thing if its on purpose. But no further as of yet...

    ok.. we're now hugging up the big monkey man! (its a black man singing it thankfully)

    Edit: I definitely couldn't go out with someone who runs a karaoke... they have to oversee, and positively encourage, crimes against songs I don't even like.

    I'm sure you will be great which ever option you end up going with.

    edit: with reference to the second paragraph not the first.

    I could be good with the first too though, no? :)

    Somewhat strangely I think it would be a lot more socially acceptable if that was the result of an accident rather than by my choice.

    As it stands, no opportunities for accidents and I'm entirely unconvinced I could look after anything or anyone else. Not ago long to overturn any of those.

    Do you have any? Rather worryingly the DM had an article yesterday that said the average age to become a grandmother was 49.

    Why worrying?

    Worrying 49, worrying - or worrying because you were reading the Daily Mail?

    Who cares what is socially acceptable. No one should care about being judged by people they don't know.

    We know it's perfectly possible to being up a child successfully, alone. Support is important. If your parents would be willing helpers then it might be an idea to move closer. But use them as a break for you, not childcare while you're at work - you'll all be exhausted.

    Coping alone is not exactly fun. We all need a break.

    I live in hope still. I'm well past 49, but I don't think its a competitive sport. If it is, I've lost, because the youngest person to become a grandparent was aged 23, having had her daughter when she was 12, and her daughter gave birth aged 11. That's the youngest Mr Google could find. Frankly, it's not a record I would want anything to do with.
    No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
