Given the age you should probably fork out for a cam belt change if you haven't had one too :(

I think I asked for one when I bought it, to be sure. It's lowish mileage, about 50k I think, and I know I would have asked for a CB change when I did buy it .... finding the paperwork and checking is another matter though..... it'll be in the cabinet and as the car's in the workshop right now there's no point double checking.

Cammy's deteriorate with age as well as mileage. I wouldn't want one on a diesel engine that was over 10 years old.

Other than that, keep changing the Oil every 7-8 K and it'll last forever.

N.B. A Cambelt going a a diesel engine will cause a darn sight more damage than a petrol engine

    I've been Money Tipped!
I didn't have breakfast, but picked at half a packet of biltong at midday and wished I have floss all afternoon. But feel fine.

Woman in front of me spent £120 in Lidl. Wish I'd been watching her trolley as I had no idea anybody could spend £120 in Lidl on food (it's not a biggun).

I spent £10 on food (stocked up) and £2 on sweeties/goodies. There was some cheddar at £4.25/Kg in £1.49 packs, so I got three of those....daft not to. 2.5Kg spuds and 15 eggs means it's a lot of spuds/eggs on the plate in the next two weeks. Bought milk, so it's back to eating Lidl Bixies to use that up.

For "healthy" freaks - I did buy a pack of 6 tomatoes!

My record is £90 in aldi and the trolly was overflowing.

Well, there goes £339 I won't see again. Car passed all OK though. Price of wipers made me fall over. Wish I'd spent some time investigating getting those done either [a] myself, or at a Halfords. £31 and they probably charged me VAT on top (too stunned to be checking the details really).

I'd done 1700 miles since the last MoT.

Cars tend to be more reliable if they've only done long drives and haven't been sitting around.

Found this earlier, think it's really funny :)

Kids car had done under 1000 miles since the last service and MOT. Still needed new brake pads, a major service and some attention to the airbag CU. Cost about £1 for each mile it had travelled. :(

    Whispers

Had an offer accepted on a BTL bargain. Furniture being sold with the property and tenant wants to stay too. Agent agreed not to market further if we move quickly.

I've spoken to an agent about a property not yet on the market today, with a T that wants to stay there (been given 2 months notice but has expressed an interest in staying previously and hasn't found somewhere else yet).

Bit more worried about a 3.5% yield and putting the rent up though......

Percy Our DD2 was born in BAOR too, in 1977. Her birth had to be registered at the British Embassy in Duesseldorf, but we didn't actually have to go there; it was all organised by the Army!

Her birth certs (there are 2 copies)are the same shape as a marriage cert, and look like photocopies with a red seal. I suppose the seal is to prove the cert is "original".

    Fingers crossed.

What do NP think about flats over shops, yield is good (5.5%)?
    I think....
