PN - I got caught up in the yuppie - got to have everything new - 80's. Big regret, waste of money, lots of debt. I am a grown up now.
Ah. I escaped all that then. Marketing and advertising isn't for everybody - it's stuff for wealthier people. In my experience it's best to ignore all advertising as it's for stuff that you can't afford...0 -

Phew! That took a while (thought I did stop for a drink). 4.5 grass collecters full
Remembered that the last cut of the year wasn't really supposed to be the last cut of the year, more that life got in the way. So the mower was filthy, and the grass was very long.
Luckily I knew where the key to alter the blades was because I have to move it when (and if) I clean the mower. Really easy to change, and turns out I was mowing the grass all last year on only the 2nd setting. There are 2 shorter settings. At least now I know (rollseyes).0 -

My lawnmower really scalps a lawn.... it's horrific, you're left with just some mud0 -

What about vases with twigs in them though?0 -
My ride on mower isnt starting, its ancient we have had it 25 years or so maybe, mowing a lawn as big as ours takes a few hours with the push mower and it is not a fun experience.
Chewy congrats! and i admit i am jealous, twin girls would suit us very nicely in a year or three! When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -

They are adorable, chewy!
My fil is a twin, and he and his twin have been the same way round in every photo ever taken of them their whole lives.HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »I would be a horrible parent, especially for a daughter.
The complete and utter inability to say 'No' to ponies and princess rooms galore when they were young, and a "shotgun at the door" greeting for any teenage suitors.....
Probably a good thing I don't have any.
:rotfl:
Reminds me of the year I worked in a boys school. One of my teacher friends there said that looking at the boys in the school, he was very glad he didn't have any daughters who might go out with them.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
What a beautiful day!
We had lots of long xiao bao in Chinatown last night and drinks in a posh hotel bar we stumbled across. Thank you for the idea, lir.Drinks were more than dinner. I did not need the last one
Today is great. Very posh lunch, a lovely present in the form of arm candy and a yummy sleep. Out to the converted underground loo in a bit!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
