Oh Chewy and Mrs Chewy, you are going to have so much fun! :j Hearty congratulations! But in the short term, grab sleep whenever you can. Love names. Our younger DD was blonde at birth and for a while, but started to darken to brown around 5 I think. She had super ringlets too. LOL.
Percy, congrats to you and Mrs Percy. Lovely time. Hope Mrs Percy can get plenty of rest. Start saving for new shoes for her - feet go up in size later in pregnancy. I spent the last weeks of first pregnancy wading through icy puddles in Feb and March in sandles as couldn't afford new shoes.
Spirit, glad that you feel OK about taking early retirement. Difficult to make that decision, but at least it takes pressure off you so you can concentrate on getting really well again. I'm still sending you the vibes from our front porch!Good that you have something in mind to do later when you are more convalesced.
Sorry not around much, am reading but finding things difficult at the mo so don't feel able to post as much as I'd like.0 -
Good news Gen! :j
Glad to hear about the retirement, Spirit. DW is also retired and is filling her time remarkably well.
I like the names of the two Chewettes. :beer:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Kids are taught that if the must start sexting each other they should not show anything identifiable, to prevent photos turning up online.
I would have thought the advice should just be "don't" but clearly I'm old fashioned.
If the photo is what it could be its not necessarily been taken with consent.
Fwiw however, I do take dodgy photos.. Some of my consultants get dodgy pics. I've sent lots of boob pics and close up nipple pics and so go other graphic shots to drs, even to their mobiles ...' Saying, now, now, look at this!' Or 'really, this isn't worth going into hospital about, I'll deal with it at home, but you wanted a picture, next time, so here you are, and here is something for scale......'. I have no shame. If it helps its worth it.
(Edit, I just remembered the ones I have sent with paint colour charts for some sort of reference to colour too)
And, er, if fir wants pictures of me, he can have 'em. Not of things going wrong.0 -
Congrats to Chewie! Very happy for you. Lovely names.
Glad things went well with the Rheumotologist Gen.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
I popped home for a sleep today so am now on night duty whilst OH finally gets to sleep. I am sitting in the dark listening to a mobile phone playing an imitation of the sound of a placenta. This is modern parenting.
There is a baby going nuts down the corridor. I guess they don't have the placenta app.0 -

That doesn't sit right with me, especially if they are under the age of consent. Could that not, under certain circumstances, help legitimise grooming? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Doesn't sit right with me either (I'm very camer averse at the best of times). But it sounds like pragmatic advice... knowing people including young ones will take and send these kind of photos, against most advice, the final possible protection is to at least not include your face, in case the pics end up with people other than the intended recipient.0 -
Nope, it's another reminder that the credit they are supposed to have applied to my account (resulting from a complaint, which was subsequently mishandled) in December, still hasn't hit the account.
!!!!!!.
The utter incompetence of these Utility company's is beyond a joke.
I actually switch now, not on price but just to get away from them.
Unfortunately, the new company is always just as bad.
At this rate I'm going to end up having to frack my own back garden..............or go back to British Gas, I'm not sure which is least bad option.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
