We're you in St George's? I have heard terrible things about that place....hopefully Kingston is a bit better.

I have been in St George's 2 years ago, although not for maternity services, and was very happy with the treatment I received.

No prizes for guessing who popped out to Lidl and came home with peanuts, 2 bags of fruit pastilles, 3 mini cheesecakes and some frozen chips :)

I'm looking forward to my monthly trip to Aldi, Daily Mirror £5 off voucher in hand, on Sunday :)

Made it to Friday :j Was convinced I was in for a telling off today as I'd not prepped for a meeting (prep work was waaay too close to that which we don't talk about, so I didn't get very far with it), but somehow talked my way through the day.

It's been a long week, but quite a good one I guess. Found out I'm getting a pay rise in Apr (mainly because we didn't get one last year so I slipped off the bottom of my payscale), and I've ended up making quite a few social arrangements... I think I'm now doing something every weekend until Easter . Unheard of!

Nikkster, I know the thing we don't talk about is hard to face, but you put a lot of work into it in the autumn and your supervisor was very pleased with what you'd done, in spite of all your gloomy predictions. You are so close to the end now. Please try to gather up the strength for a final push towards getting it done. It would be such a waste of all that effort to let it drop now.

You know I only say that because I care.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Yeah that's the one. My favourite was the ivf woman with her banker husband - all he wanted to know was whether they could fly to their Florida holiday home 10 days after she had had a caesarean.

The family photos with the photographer trying to get her to move to a more natural position. And she just couldn't, because of the wound and the lack of tummy tone at that time.

I quite like the hippy stuff, having given birth in hospital and at home and knowing what I prefer, but keeping the cord attached to the baby and displaying the placenta to the other children was a bit weird for me. Wouldn't it get smelly, quickly?

I know. And I appreciate it. Truly I do.

My supervisor also put in a lot of effort reading through it. Can't remember whether I mentioned, but I got back the results sections and they were less positive than the intro + methods... but nothing I didn't already know.

It's still further away than just needing a final polish.

    Will delete:

With my new choice in eating habits, I can barely eat anything that you eat. I could do some of the slow cooker stuff, but the rest of it, can't do.

We've turned the house upside down over the last couple of weeks. We're nearing the final hurdle but I'm a bit shocked at myself. Spent a small fortune at Ikea and most of this week with a screwdriver. Kids swapped rooms, I cleared out my wardrobe (five bin bags??), moved more furniture around downstairs. And had the man create my new bottom step in walnut. And someone cme and touched up the paint around the house.

But that last push is soooo hard.

Nikks, please speak to him (supervisor that is, not ex), you are torturing yourself. He will either give you the push to get over the finishing line or tell you it's over, but at least if that's the case you don't need to put yourself through the ringer any more.

Will delete if you want me to.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

No worries - but I'll probably delete this.

I'm pretty sure I know what the answer is - the Uni will have been soft and let the deadline slide (again). Which is very kind of them and much more than I deserve. I should be making the most of this, but somehow it makes it even more difficult.
It's so stupid - with every month that passes there are more papers to read and reference. It really would make more sense to JFDI. And seemingly that is the only way it will ever end :o
But it is apparently beyond me.
