Yes, he's a week late. We were making pancakes last Tuesday and needed a right t*sser then. Idiot.

vivatifosi, you surprise me, I never realised such thoughts would pass through your elegant brain. But I'll be snickering for a while yet:D

I've really landed on my feet with this job. It's fun and interesting and pays ok considering the hours plus I can be promoted within it.

I earn about the average Sydney household income for a 3 day week :)

Much more than envious. But well done for getting the job * said through gritted teeth*

purch , you are so where it's at. Though I might refer you to viva's post for an alternative and appropriate name.

    I love being part time.

I went for a 1km swim after dropping the Generalissimos at school (free coz it's where the kids have swimming lessons). Then went home for a big bowl of beef stew, watch a bit of cricket and then off to collect the Generalissimos and take them to a soccer party in the park. 38 kids and 6 adults playing, the adults cheating mercilessly of course.

Now I've taken them to the RSL club for fish and chips and a bit more cricket watching.

    So do I! :D

Although I am much less energetic than you are on the days when I'm not working. :o
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I loved it when I was properly fit. It's an amazing feeling when you just don't get physically tired unless you really push it.

This morning, for the first time since 2013, I got that proper hunger that you only get from exercising really hard and that can only be sated by putting carbs into your body.

I find the chipring too annoying to live with but DW appears not to notice it. I put things in and out of my pocket while up ladder rather than holding with my teeth. HOwever our smoke detector detaches completely rather than hanging on wires when opened.
    I think....

The babies are not playing ball and refusing to turn head down so we are now booked in for a caesarian on Wednesday...OH is delighted to have an end date!

There was a programme on TV earlier in the week following a few women who were having babies - one asked her mum if they had caesarians back when her mum was pregnant with her...

Be prepared in the meantime! When DD2 was having the GrandTwins she was given a date for a caesarian. But she went into labour when her OH was at the sport hall, and not contactable, so My OH had to drive out to Hale and pick her up and take her to hospital. She went pretty fast, it was touch and go at every traffic light as to whether to risk it or stop. Arrived at Women's Hospital. she was taken straight to theatre. Good thing my OH was around at the time and could rush out there.

Not trying to freak you out Chewy, but just warning these things can begin to happen on their own and suddenly.

Hugs and supportive vibes to you both from Liverpool! :)

Wednesday lunchtime is usually aerobics (unless there is some work thing I need to do), but yesterday it was a different instructor so was going to be circuits. I made myself go even though I hate doing circuits. I'm not sure whether I was just delirious, but I felt really happy yesterday afternoon, instead of the slight foggyness I've not been able to shake off for a while.
Also helped that it was a really sunny afternoon and I knew I was going out that evening.
