I guess I could get a teasmaid (coffeesmaid?). I think that really would set things off nicely with my plug-in hob and mini oven kitchen facilities
Actually - I just did something brave/ foolish. I switched on my cooker at the wall - I guess it must have dried out (my theory is that the seal has gone on the main oven door meaning when I was trying to slow cook the glut of tomatoes I'd bought at the market, the copious amounts of steam made their way into the electrics). Maybe it is salvageable and therefore worth getting someone out to look at it, rather than just using it as an extra worksurface...
If there's one thing from modern life that is annoying it's all these built in appliances. As I see it it forces you to be stuck with somebody else's choices .... if my oven had been free standing I'd have got rid of it and put a cupboard in there - and got a mini oven or something.
Integrated units are going to become increasingly a bane in people's lives I think. They restrict what you can do/have and are a pain to replace etc.0 -

Probably, but I know my mum appreciates her card, I expect even if I was married I'd still get a card from her - and I'm not, and won't be getting a card from anyone else! It does take a bit of choosing to find an appropriate card mind, there are a lot of rather suggestive cards out there
My one this year tells her that I love her too the moon and back. Which is something we say to each other anyway

My mum always has (well, when she wasn't shouting at us).
Only in recent years has my dad started.
We're a family that does. Doesn't mean that your family don't/ didn't, Just that thy didn't say it.
Edit: I've never heard my parents say it to each other. I very much doubt I ever will.0 -

Maggie that's a gorgeous garden
BTW I have the same problem with aching jaw at the dentist. Last time, I tried taking some Co-Codamol in advance, and that helped a lot.
