Darned RM tracking. It currently says:

Item .... was posted at .... on 12/02/15 and is being progressed through our network for delivery.
    Last update: 12 February 2015, 11:30am

Which is the time I dropped it off there yesterday. Do you think the counter staff are using it as a drinks coaster?

I had hoped to see something like:
    11:30pm Plymouth Depot
    02:30am Truro sorting office
    08:00am On the van

    :)
Mostly they don't update the tracking realtime and often the first you know is later in the day of delivery.

Maggie Glad you're ok. Have you been too ME-ified to post?

Basically too busy! Did you see they changed the name of our disease in USA to SEID? Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease.

Yesterday I went to the dentist for completion of Phase 1 of mouth makeover. All the built up teeth have been polished and tidied up. The root canal from a couple of weeks ago still needs something on its inner surface, so that comes in Phase 2. Treatment plan discussed, he's spreading it over several weeks as I find difficulty in keeping mouth open for ages - have had a couple of hour and a half sessions that I found quite difficult from jaw ache point of view. Weird thing is I get cramp in my right calf when in the chair for a long time. So 12 March Phase 2 commences with building up back lower molars as they're chipped. Then after that there's upper teeth to restore, and another root canal on a tooth that's too far gone to do anything with. It's already proved worthwhile, I can now eat fruit again, and chocolate, and crunchy stuff (pomegranate in salad for eg) without my teeth going ouch! I've put on about 2lbs since Christmas, prob the choc DD1 and her family gave me! :rotfl:
Don't worry. Reading, not talking ATM.

    Glad you're OK LiR.

MiL moved to new nursing home yesterday, seems it went OK. OH's bro and his wife went to help, OH went over later when we got back from my dental trip. We're going over to see her this afternoon. I've got a cashmere shawl to give as a "housewarming" prezzy. I thought it would be light but warm to go round her shoulders, especially when the weather improves and maybe she can go out in the gardens, which do look rather nice on the pictures on the web.

Tomorrow we have British Heart Foundation coming to old home to collect a sideboard/display cabinet, Sony TV and DVD player, 2 standard lamps, and maybe an amplifier. Sometime between 9 and 3, but they're going to call OH on his mobile when they're about 10 minutes away.

We also have 3 people going round old home today, and another 3 on Sunday! So life is all go! :rotfl:

I've popped back to say I was wrong - it's turned very cold, very windy and is peeing down now :)

And the Sun has just made an appearance here! Wonder whether I should try and do some gardening later...

https://www.fairfx.com/product/transfer I use these guys for the fx card but they do transfers too so worth a look.

Or Caxton FX do similar, recently been offering slightly better rates on their Card than FairFX but it varies by the day.

It will ultimately depend on the amount.

If it is six figures you will get a much better rate, and if you go through your Bank...........haggle. They will be able to offer you a better rate than they initially quote by some margin.

Oh, and if haggling doesn't work tell them you want a better rate

That should be a new research project at Nikkco enterprises ( I suggest you get your employers to adopt this title!)

I guess I could get a teasmaid (coffeesmaid?). I think that really would set things off nicely with my plug-in hob and mini oven kitchen facilities

Actually - I just did something brave/ foolish. I switched on my cooker at the wall - I guess it must have dried out (my theory is that the seal has gone on the main oven door meaning when I was trying to slow cook the glut of tomatoes I'd bought at the market, the copious amounts of steam made their way into the electrics). Maybe it is salvageable and therefore worth getting someone out to look at it, rather than just using it as an extra worksurface...

    Saved by the bell

    :j

    Great news!

I have a birthday parent today too. My parents + brother made a flying visit here last Friday, so in family tradition I saved on postage by handing over the birthday card and a Valentine's card for my mum. 2 stamps saved :money:
My mum also left me a card for tomorrow too. I bet she hasn't signed it. I didn't sign hers. Got to leave a little mystery :rotfl:
