They owe you 5p interest.
Should we ever get deflation here, they'd be quick enough to auto withdraw the 5p interest from Trevs account.
They are cunning those banks. So far we've learned to mistrust RBS and HBOS for being basket cases with no concept of risk, Barclays for being the nasty bank, the CoOp for being badly run by the Crystal Methodist. HSBC was - relatively speaking - the good kid with the good school report who we now find was a lying cheating skank and a member of Slytherin house all along.
Perhaps we need to take our money and put it in a well governed economy which Transparency International sees as being ethical and with low fraud. How about Scandinavia? Maybe Iceland? Oh... hang on a minute. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

They might be right.Probably nothing more sinister than a little flag by your name that says, "if michaels wants this deal, it must mean he will tie us in knots so we will end up paying him to take the phone= decline"
I have a colleague ftb trying to buy a new build flat, they went on Saturday to put down a deposit on the latest release to find 17 of 20 released in the week were gone even though prices were up 10k over the last tranche a month ago. I blame btl investors, this is near vivasville.Looking at 2 bed flats in the area, why does removing all storage cupboards and adding the tiniest of en-suites to the smallest of bedrooms, add 40k to the price?
If you have 2 beds that are say 10 x 11 and 8 x 6 with no built in cupboards in either, why would the addition of an en-suite add value?
Also the idea of adding a balcony, with views of.....a train station be attractive?

There's a little bird that's been around in our garden for a few days now. The size of a robin. Yellow chest and green wings. Anybody know what it might be?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Might be a greenfinch? Or a yellow wag tail. Wag tails have a sort of bobbing walk, like to feed in the open. We see them in the caravan field, but pied not yellow.
Any other markings or colours? Could be a great tit if it has a black stripe down the middle of its tummy.0 -

It is similar to this image of a Greenfinch, except that the head is mostly white, with black bits. It's that sort of shape. I wondered whether it's an escaped budgie, but would that have survived several days in this weather?
A wagtail is longer and leaner, with longer tail feathers, so not that I think. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

OK, I'll bite!
If you think it might be a budgie might it be a ring necked parakeet? Mind you they are larger than that (we very occasionally get them in our garden)
Prob your best bet is to try the RSPB bird identifier.
Be interested to hear what it is if you can finally identify it.

I think it might be a Blue Tit (above) or a Great Tit (below). I'll try and get a closer look, now I know what it might be.
