Gastroscopy over. nothing sinister or obviously causing probs.
Had sedation, no recall of event at all. NHS at it's best.I was only referred for this last Thursday and it is only two weeks tomorrow since I saw my GP. Still need diagnosis though.
dinner waitrose smoked haddock chowder.could be described as potatoes cooked in smoked Haddock stock, does not contain smoked haddock.0 -

So you went through all of that, to be served spuds in flavoured water?0 -
Sorry for going OT (in that sort of English way where I feel I should say sorry rather than actually having anything to apologise for.
I think most of us on this thread find stuff like this interesting.
I haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about, but you're welcome to talk about it on the NPT - I know the thread well enough to be confident that whenever it wanders off into territory I don't understand, it always wanders somewhere else after a while, and then I find myself understanding stuff again. I've learnt a lot about economics from this board, but either what you're talking about now is too difficult for me, or else I'm too far into the "finished tonight's marking" phase to be bothered to concentrate hard enough to learn much this evening.

DH heard it as erectile adoption agency:eek:
:rotfl:Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Excellent news. Hope you make progress towards a diagnosis soon.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I've never watched the program. I got despondant after our application was turned down and stopped watching that type of program. It's taken me two years to not panic when someone asks about it.
I was just going to do some work on a new design and access statement but my laptop keyboard has packed up a bit and is selective about which letters it allows.
DD has the ipad for homework.
I should not procrastinate!!
Were you interested in doing our steel for us? I am sure there would be lots of other jobs too....I think....0 -

I'd love to see stats on the changes in pension rules to see if certainty + yield = BTL housing, in this country of housing shortage anyway.
Still, as you say, if rates go up, that could be:eek:.
What do I know though? Secular is not a word I've ever heard applied in that manner before.
Look at the FT Alphaville blog for some context re secular stagnation. It means very low rates of GDP growth as a result of the structure of the economy.
The Fed is almost certainly going to put rates up this year and we will almost certainly see massive VOL increases as a result. It wouldn't surprise me entirely to see the BoE put up rates this year although I suspect next year is more likely TBH.0 -

Thank you. Sorry, I forgot about the whole conversation
We're a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Do you know when you want to do it?
Has a structural engineer been out to assess it yet, at all?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

TBH I was guilty of using a lot of jargon. In my defence the post was aimed at a small subset of our group and if I'd explained every word and theory it'd have been a 2,000 word post plus graphs!
As I say, I needed to delete without it being quoted and this is where I can do that. Sorry (British style!) for going off topic or, worse, on topic.
Happy to explain any parts of investment theory BTW. Just ask here or PM me. It's good to understand a basic amount of just as it's good to have a very basic understanding of economics.0 -
PS Anyone heard from NDG of late? She had another big case which, IIRC, was the cause of her disappearance last time. Hope she's ok.0
