I like this a lot. it sounds so normal and care free. I hope you had a great evening.
It was a great evening. I am hoarse as a horse (?) . We had a great time.
Aus scored right at the end of the first half and S Korea got an equaliser right at the end of the second. Aus scored just before half time in extra time and ended up winning.
We went out for steamed buns for dinner before the match which was delish! Nom Nom Nom.
So a great time had by all. Even the Koreans seemed pretty happy at the end. They're an amazing bunch of fans.0 -
In the spending/ not spending debate. We have a virtually unused shed that is 15ft x 50 ft and a summer house that is about 20 ft x 50 ft. Both are in need of repair - roof/ damp/ walls creosoted.
I thought of getting rid of the shed, rather than spend money on something unused. It is at the far end of the garden. Any ideas on uses for the space? I assume it has a concrete base.
Your sheds are bigger than my house. Each of them, individually, are bigger
Could you start a caravan park in the garden with the space?0 -
I don't think anyone else would have lived with an unfinished (sockets hanging off, woodwork unfinished) and undecorated (bare plaster in need of final skim) kitchen extension for at least 2 years, with a room size of 25 x 18 and needing a chippie, plasterer and decorator to finish up it is not surprising that the 'decorating' quotes are at least 1500.
Ahem, you don't ? What am I, chopped liver?0 -
...with a room size of 25 x 18 ....
I can understand you "storing" some of your spare wealth by ploughing it into the house, but each time you spend more on it, make it worth more, you're reducing the number of future people that could afford to buy it0 -

DG is this of any use to you (as a means of procrastination if nowt else...)

Pills already starting to work. ( hurrah)
So much so I had toast out as I suddenly realised I WAS hungry while I was out. And coffee......first coffee in over a week. Ok, I only had a third of it, but, I wanted something and didn't want to wait til I got home. Both unusual. Fir had a haircut, kiwi and dog dog chose a cow ear each and cheese flavoured dog biscuits in a pet shop.
This is significantly more activity than I have had for a week so its not surprising I'm tired. Dog dog and I have curled up for the afternoon, kiwi and fir have gone rat hunting.0 -

Good news, shame it was such a struggle to get them
I feel like a small bit of apple has gone down the wrong way but it doesn't seem to be coming back up with loads of coughing, coughing which hurts in one place, hopefully just muscular and not still a lung issue....I think....0
