I am grateful to my vet friend. He was right I have jaundice. I have a sallow hue to my skin and the itchy skin and non specific feeling of unwellness are explained. A few other physical symptoms also understood. Now to find out why. So scans and referrals needed. I have also given an armful of blood samples. There is an outside chance it is a rare side effect of a recently inreased medication. If it is that will be a hoot as the particular drug was given as a substitute for a rare but life threatening side effect to another drug that I fell victim to.

I hope that this all gets sorted out quickly and painlessly.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

What would have happened in the short/medium/long term if you'd never seen him and carried on with your life as it was, without a clue?

Spirit I hope you can "be sorted out" without delay x

    Sue That's wonderful :j

My laptop is playing silly wotsits so I'm using the old desktop pc atm. The keyboard feels very strange, and I can't get into my emails as it asks for my password for an email address I don't even use any more.

Zag, if you are about, Zenith has been PPRd again, so you are about to be needed again over in alphabet land.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Lir, sounds horrible. Hope you get it sorted soon, and if it is a rare side effect, that there is a third option.

Congratulations Josh! What a great honour.

That is good news! Does he want to go? How many people do the school take. Almost worthy of a PN posh alert, fancy a school taking a musical tour of a furrin country.

Yes he does but he is worried about cost. When I say musical tour, I mean they will be playing at various places in Italy rather than watching musicals :rotfl:

The numbers are limited to their orchestra members and rare selected musicians.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It is... I think there was a furren trip when I was at school, but that was only done by the middle class kids and the rest of us accepted that as it was the norm to not go on stuff like that due to cost anyway.

Pretty much as it has been for my boys, James went on a few trips but they were the cheaper ones and of course, the year 6 residential stay (which was cheap as chips because they stayed in a centre 4 miles from here!)

Josh has never been invited on any trips that involved overnight stays, never did the year 6 residential trip and even some day trips too because of his disabilities. Youngest is the same but has done even less day trips than Josh because they would completely freak him out and the staff didn't feel able to deal with it/the ramifications on his education going forwards was too great.

This invite is different though as it is not a holiday, or just a jolly, they are representing the school and putting on performances.
