Tonight's Phil Spencer: Secret Agent is reminiscent of the 'Have a Look at This' thread on the House Buying Board...
I'm not watching, but
Someone on my facebook feed has been to see it. A few years ago. Tgey say it's been on the market for 10 years, not one!
Another skip left our back yard yesterday. Next, another grab wagon abd a planning application.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I think I can guess which one. There is a car radio in the (red tiled) bathroom :rotfl:0 -

Well, not to be blunt, you might be disabled by this time next week - fickle finger of fate and all that.
I like a downstairs loo - and nothing against that being disabled accessible... it's just that the implementation by developers when they're just looking at the bottom line means you end up with a loo in the wrong place, taking up too much space. A carbunkle on home enjoyment.
The kind of down stairs loo /utility set up would make sense to me I think. I suppose this might be over rection for some of the ridiculously tiny loos that went in some new builds so e years ago. A local chum has a loo that's only saving grace is that it is less ridiculous than the shower room. My friend is about doozer girls height and cannot get into the shower, and there is a strange space behind it which only the family cat can fit in, so its full of the cats spoils....stolen socks, cat nip mice and stuff.0 -
HutH this morning had some guy buying a disused ambulance station on the outskirts of a welsh valley with high unemployment. He planned to turn it into a hotel for the disabled and cyclists. 3 years later and he was still struggling to get started. Not planning regulation but the discovery of a single newt. Said newt had to have a personal trench dug to find its way beck to countryside and underground barriers put in place to stop further newts strolling to hotel. In years gone by, the newt would have be run over by an ambulance and no-one do more than shrug. No-one mentioned that there may not be much call for a hotel in an area that offers nothing more than high unemployment and newt spotting.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I did find it rather strange. He had his late mother's house money and seemed to be following a dream, rather than having done any sound business research and analysis on the plan.
Felt sorry for him re the newt.0 -
Think we have finally come full circle....Josh has been invited to take part in a musical tour of Italy with the school!
Due to his various conditions, he has never been invited to do anything like this before, nor been allowed to go on the residential school trips ever before (unlike James), so it shows just how far he has come over the years. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Sue, that's just great. You must be so proud of him:)0

Yay! Well done Josh. :j:j:jDo you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

That is good news! Does he want to go? How many people do the school take. Almost worthy of a PN posh alert, fancy a school taking a musical tour of a furrin country.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
