For those of you on twitter, #foxnewsfacts is trending in the UK and worldwide at present, with invented hilarious 'facts' that only Fox News could report, after an 'expert' on Fox News said:“In Britain, it’s not just no-go zones, there are actual cities like Birmingham that are totally Muslim, where non-Muslims just simply don’t go in,” Emmerson says, to the evident disbelief of the presenter in the studio.
“And parts of London, there are actually Muslim religious police that actually beat and actually wound, seriously, anyone who doesn’t dress according to Muslim, religious Muslim attire. So there’s a situation that western Europe is not dealing with.”

What an eejit. He clearly only knows about the one in Alabama. Still, that's Fox News for you. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Just been reading Emmerson's wiki profile. Makes for interesting reading. He's clearly researched the subject for many years, even if his views are a bit skewed. Makes you wonder how he could drop such a big ball. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? A few years ago I visited a (white, Christian) friend who lives in a Muslim area of Birmingham. As I got closer to her house I did start to feel, er, exposed because of wearing short sleeves while almost every other woman in sight had a hijab, but even then I didn't feel it was a no go area, or that the situation was in any way threatening to me. I just felt mildly concerned about possibly offending their cultural sensitivities with my bare arms. Other visits to Birmingham have involved different parts of the city where I haven't noticed anything remarkable about the ethnic demographic.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I've been a horrible sweaty man since I got back. I went for a cuppa with the boss this arvo and the liquid was coming out at about the same rate I was pouring it in. Hope I'm not sickening for something.
I am feeling decidedly liverish for days now. No more booze for a while I think. Tye New Year resolution, which I never normally do, is to have 5 veg & 2 fruit a day every day that it's feasible (can be hard when eating out cheaply).0 -
Hopefully it is just that you have lost your heat conditioning and will quickly require it.
DD1 woke last night coughing with a high temperature
Loved the suggestion that the bull ring is where they hold the ritual slaughter of Christians....I think....0 -

Hope so. I was a little concerned last night as night sweats is one of the symptoms I've been told to look out for as it was the only symptom I had of lymphoma. I was much happier (kinda) to be sweaty in the day too.0 -
I am not sure that there is anything I dislike more than getting up when it is dark.
Doozer left at 5.30am. I decided to stay awake as waking up in the dark once is depressing enough.
Meh.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Meh.
I woke up at 1.15am today. I did at least get back to sleep.
I took the wrong painkillers for my back this evening: I normally keep some OTC ibuprofen w/codeine around in case I'm having a bad day with my sciatica. I accidentally took 2 Panadine Forte instead which has ~3x the codeine level. I'm starting to feel very relaxed indeed. Best not have a glass of wine with dinner.0
