Not only does fir not share but he's not interested in being shared.;)

Oooh, I hadn't noticed typo. I like the idea of fir being shared though. Like a well loved teddy bear.

Last night fir wore a onsey.....we don't normally wear, er, much, but he's been really itchy and I suggested it might protect his skin from night time scratching. This morning he woke up first and got up to put the dogs out. Not properly awake I reminded him he'd have to take dog dog's suit off.

'That's me, I'm wearing the suit' he said

'Oh, yeah, I knew it was some one I loved' I replied then, so he says, I snored. ( this is possible, I still have a cold.....;) )

So lots of issues that could all be "fixed" by shoving the loo outside, making it larger, having a utility ... and with some glass ceiling area it'd even be like a mini sun room as a free bonus or a hobbies room for crafts. And a space to store stuff that I don't want in the shed over winter as it's dark/scarey/rats might come back. I hate the shed .... it's handy to store things, but then gives me the heeby jeebies to go into it.

It'd also make the front more 'secure' and help to block the wind.

Remember this would increase heating costs, as by 'shoving it out' you do two things.

You lose the heat these generate inside. ( first hand experience of how significant this can be) so might have to run heating sooner in house. If its only the washing machine, not so much, if its all you white goods, its more.

Secondly, you have to low heat the second area at least at at the very worst some times if you plan to use it. ( and if you have plumbing in there). Might only be a week a year. This year wouldn't have needed to here anyway, so less likely still for you. The frozen loo here was both brilliantly hilarious, and. Pretty grim after the first few days.

Silver... I think you're right, it is T7 not 6 at JFK in New York. Still thought it was terrible though. It was too busy for number of flights it was handling, dirty and crowded. We even had to wait an hour to pass through Club Class security.

I assumed from your earlier comment that you weren't travelling club.
I thought the club lounge was very nice, spacious and airy with plenty of food choices. To be honest, we didn't spend any time in the main part of the terminal.

Temp is lower but still needs painkillers, less head ache, cough is much more productive (yuck). Nice moment of peace here as others are at church.

Feeling a little stressed as although insurance co have said we are covered And they would sort things they didn't actually change the flights before departure time yesterday so now I assume they fill have to fork out a fortune to book new ones which would have been my priority yesterday but didn't seem to be theirs.....
    I think....

Unless you had booked fully flexible fares (at ££££) they wouldn't have got any money back.

When you tell them you are fit to fly they will book your flights.

Were you flying direct? I seem to remember you found cheaper fares by going indirect. The insurance will book you on direct flights home.

Did you fly Virgin or BA? At JFK the Virgin terminal is beautiful with lovely shops and eateries, whereas terminal 6, the BA one, is like a shed with insufficient seating, rubbish shops and rubbish food outlets. It's without a doubt the worst airport terminal I've been to in many a year and really reflects badly on NY as a premium business destination. Hopefully it will be demolished at some point and replaced as it has no redeeming features.

I meant to reply to this and forgot.

Neither. We were very MSE and flew Norweigan. So club class/ lounges etc weren't anywhere near our radar!

I'm guessing they use the least nice of the terminals, but we were amazed at how rubbish it was for what is a major airport.

Somehow bits of the us sometimes feel very third world like they will build a gleaming shopping centre yet some of that access roads will be dirt tracks through junk, western Europe always seems much more 'finished' when it comes to infrastructure.
    I think....

JFK is probably turning in his grave. It's such a rubbish airport.

    I found Newark much better.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
