Sounds encouraging, even if it is not what you need it gives the agent something to work with. We had a buyer who initially offered us a joke amount and ended up offering within a smigin of full asking price as we made it clear that we did not need to sell and weren't budging.
    I think....

It's encouraging they want it so much they weren't going to sit on their first offer to "make you sweat".

I think I once met someone who bought a full price sofa at DFS although I think she was showing off.

    I jut don't believe that:p

I prefer the green one, definitely not the white leather. A friend of mine has had great success at auction rooms, getting some really good quality sofas for about a £100.00, which after a year of use, she then sells on ebay. Usually for more than she paid!

Happy New Year to the NPs.

PN, this was someone different to the person from Saturday. Agent tells us is a developer so unlikely to offer more...

Given state of OH's health still we're not in a rush to sell in some ways. Hopefully by end of this week he'll be feeling stronger. Does seem to be better each day (touch wood!) since finished antibiotics. So hopefully can get back to packing stuff up in next couple of days.

Doozergirl, it was certainly interesting to get 3 offers from 2 persons across 2 days! But we'll be hanging on for now - we have a price in mind, and this is only the start of the best selling times of the year.

While we are prepared to drop from asking price (would be silly not to), there's a level we don't want to go below. I know house needs a lot of work doing, but it's in a popular area and it has 3 double bedrooms. So much bigger than majority of 3 bed terraces. Plus it's an end terrace, so much brighter and more open than most, especially with the views down all the gardens of the semis going down the hill. Location and light is what attracted us in the first place. I believe we are realistic in what we hope to get. We'll see! :rotfl:

Michaels, your holiday seems fraught with bad weather and unwellness! :( Hope things look up for you soon!

Bugslet there's a nasty dog illness around Runcorn that ProMed mail has put out a request for information about. I seem to remember you have 3 dogs? Anyway, you might want to keep a close eye on them for skin lesions just in case.

Don't intend to alarm you - better to be aware than not I think.

Thank you Joanthebone, what a lovely easy recipe! :T Will definitely try it. I have some pork shoulder steaks in the freezer which should be just the job :)

Pork shoulder steaks will be lovely, you find out how much lentil you need/like after you have done the recipe a couple of times, I like loads so it makes a nice thick 'gravy' some people might like it more runny, its not a fussy recipe, but good comfort food on a cold day!
