Debate House Prices
In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. PasturesNew wrote: »This is what's wrong with the first world. Too much choice. I started off with two, based on price. Then "Hotpoint are good" came into the mix. Then Hotpoints were in the price budget. But now they've been turfed out as they're not frost free and they're not drawers, so 2 negatives, so I guess I have to discard those.
Due to Doozer's links, Beko are also out of the running. Now I have to see what I'm left with ....
Looks like a Bush or a Candy. Two from the first post I made:
1/Bush] http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2037806.htm#pdpFullProductInformation
2/Candy] http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4870391.htm#pdpFullProductInformation
and this one:
5/Candy] http://ao.com/product/CSS5166WE-Candy-Fridge-Freezer-White-33880.aspx - although there are no photos of the inside of this one (bizarrely).... does nobody care what the inside's like?? Surely that's the important bit.
Freezer space wins it for me every time. If you've no room in the fridge you can freeze stuff instead. Doesn't work so well the other way round! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
If you can stretch to it, I'd definitely go for a Zanussi or Hotpoint. They'll cost more up front but are likely to last longer IME.0

EDIT: Just realised they're both the same model
This only scored 44% on Which. I've PMd Pastures with more detail. I'm knackered now even though have spent all day in bed, so going to give up on internet for tonite.0 -
So sorry to hear that Maggie
I hope tomorrow will be a better day for you

If you can get past the frost free bit, this will probably last longer than you!0 -

Zanussi is a better brand than Bush!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. PasturesNew wrote: »Sorry to sound picky, but that looks a lot top heavy! Fridge is cavernous and makes the freezer bit look tiny. Although I can see the freezer is bigger than my other options, that fridge is almost large enough to be a studio flatlet on its own!
This is all working out to be way too much decision making for me
To clarify, the current list contains two:
