If you end up buying from the Co-op before the end of tomorrow, there is a code for £10 off when you spend over £150 - let me know if you want me to PM it to you.
Another vote for the Zanussi from me.0 -
Ours is frost-free and yes, it does save hassle.
But if it's defrosted regularly (i.e put a note on the calendar to remind you) you won't get a huge build-up of ice, and your freezables can go into a coolbag/coolbox with couple of icepacks in the meantime.
Not sure if that's helpful or not!
the trouble is, frost-free ones seem a lot more expensive.
ETA Doozergirl, I hope you're starting to feel better, but if not, please see a GP. If there are no appointments at your own, perhaps there's a "minor injuries unit" you could go to? I expect you were worn out after managing a shower, too0 -
Good luck with the decision, PN.
I only defrost mine every 6-9 months; it's a bit of a pain but as I say not frequent.
I'm a bit gutted. The final few assessments in my course are based on planning, preparing, delivering and evaluating a 40 minute session on a topic relevant to training professionals. You pick your own topic and the first elements of the assessment have to be done in the next 3 weeks.
Plan A topic fell through as it wasn't a training topic. Had settled on Plan B quite some time ago, and confirmed with the tutor that we didn't cover it in the course. Then, yesterday, I find that it's covered in quite a bit of detail in the self-study & associated activities, which puts the kibosh on that idea
So. Plan C needed at short notice and with little time left to research. As a result I slept poorly last night and feel cr*p for studying today. I may have an idea for the latest topic - limited inspiration at 5am - but it's just what I didn't need.0 -

Every 6-9 months sounds a lot to me. It's not a lot if you get round to it, but it is a lot if you then leave it a bit late and it looks onerous ... and then you keep forgetting and the ice grows and grows until it's just a block of ice with one half packet of fish fingers poking out of the back0 -

So how much is a half decent brand that is frost-free? I always hurt my hands defrosting. Ours is frost free but someone left the door open about a year ago and I've never had the time or patience to completely defrost it again. I did have a good go, but I think once it's started it doesn't stop. Dunno.
Delay the sofa. Buy something that is fit for purpose. Like the curtains, it's not a bargain if you don't like them.
Ivyleaf, thank you for thinking of me. I am showered and dressed today. Still exhausted but my breathing is definitely improving. I needed to go into work but ended up arguing with H, which I don't have the energy for. The argument starting because I don't have the energy for his energy. The irony is thick.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Michaels trick would be to buy a fully flexible refundable ticket, go to Dixons, buy the ipad, come out of the airport and get the ticket refunded.
That looks a good price at Argos, out of stock but expected in next week. I've reserved one in case they are still honouring that price.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. This Zanussi is frost free, but it's £349.
Not a Best Buy, but scores a reasonable 74%. 2 year guarantee included.0 -

Yeah, double the budget and you can start to have the one simple feature you'd like
I've spent the last X hours compiling a list of slow cookers....... I'll post that for people with an interest, who are bored and have nothing better to do, or for those that just think I need to eat better stuff0 -

Wish I'd found better news on the Fridge Freezer front.
I'll certainly check any of the slow cookers on Which. I got tangled up in detail last night, plus neither OH nor myself seem to be doing particularly well at the moment. I suspect I have his lurgy sort of sub clinically, so leaves me shattered but not sick as such. But brain isn't functioning as well as I'd like!:rotfl:
