Ooh yum! What are you having it with? The boy is fetching Tom Yum soup for me.
I'm not a smoker but you'd be forgiven for thinking that by the sound of my voice before I break into a coughing fit. It's pointless trying to speak.
I might have a glass of Chablis for medicinal purposes. It seemed to help yesterday.

Just to catch up:
If I am in the house all day, then of course i need the heating on all day. But it's also a good idea to wear an extra layer. It's when I am thinking of putting gloves on inside the house that I reach for the thermostat. The kids seem to think that they should be able to walk around in t shirts in the middle of winter, with the house at tropical temperatures.
DW would not regard a mixer as a gift for her, Chewie. It would just be an item for the house. I don't know how you got away with that one?
Well she did ask for it (and by that I mean that she did ask for it, it wasn't a response to poor behaviour)!0 -

As the leading amateur Anglo-Australian bronchitis specialist I advise you to open the bottle and throw away the cork. Bronchitis tends to linger in smokers but clear up in non-smokers IME.
Pheasant is going to be roasted thoroughly with a half apple inside it and bacon and butter on the breast. Cumberland sauce on top and cabbage leaves stuffed with porcini (ceps), chestnut mushrooms and nutmeg on the side as well as roasted root veg.
Apple crumble for afters with custard if I can be bottomed to make it and cream that I bought to make custard with if I can't. Am tossing up the alternatives: sit down or make custard.0 -
Mmmm, custard. All sounds amazing.
I shall take your advice.

Please do and report back in a couple of days if you don't feel better.
We may have to resort to a decent single malt if this is a particularly tricky case.
I have decided to make custard. Mrs Generali reminded me of the time that I made vanilla scrambled eggs so I have poured a GnT to improve my custarding skills.0 -
The virgin flight landed safely, thank goodness. Apparently it looks like a problem with the landing wheels at the nose.
Question: Why turn back? If you know you won't need your landing gear until destination, isn't it easier to keep to flight plan and land with reduced fuel at destination?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. My guess would be statistics. If there's one thing wrong with a plane perhaps there's a greater chance of something else being wrong: maybe the landing gear is stuck because some idiot left a spanner in there. Perhaps it's because the plane is leaking hydraulic fluid or the computers running the plane are in the process of crashing or a rat is noshing the wires.0 -

Oh yeah.
That's why I'm the leading amateur rather than a pro. Heck those boys and girls are good.0
