    I'm back at mine :)

Top of the list of things to do is my family's traditional pre-NY house clean. Not looking forward to it, but it needs doing :o

Hope DD2 is starting to feel better michaels.

That's a couple of (easy) rooms out of the way - stairs and landing, and the 3rd bedroom (which is kinda full of lodgers stuff so didn't move it, just cleaned the bits that were accessible). I also gave the bathroom a good clean before Christmas, so it'll just need a quick clean this week.

I had to move all my !!!! off the stairs into the spare room before the parents arrived, so that it was reasonably hazard-free for them to walk up and down the stairs ... :o

I like to hear about junk on stairs as that is the only part of our house that is junk free so I can think that things aren't so bad....

I'm glad it's not just me that is so untidy.

I often feel guilty for not spending more time with the family, but I've just been downstairs and they're watching 'Stars in their eyes' on Challenge.

    Never again!

To be fair, there is nothing on. Nothing. I watched Top Gear, now I'm being subjected to the funniest moments of 2014. I haven't laughed yet during this program. Top Gear was funnier.

I'm dying of boredom. I'm rarely bored, so what would I normally be doing?

have spent the last two days with my sister and her offspring and grandchildren.it was lovely. Poignant momemnt supplied courtesy of two little boy cousins aged 5 and 6, the 6 year old recently completed 5 years of treatment for leukemia and looks well and happy, his widowed mum remarried this year and he now has a 'dad' and baby brother. his 5 year old cousin said "you haven't got a dad, he died on the mountain with my dad", He responded, "my mum found a new one". tear jerking but his obvious delight outweighed any sadness grown ups felt.
good supply of squidgy babies too.
Hopr NDG and the Nice baby are well.
