Received another letter from the Student Loans people asking me to prove what my income is. Things like this really annoy me. The implication being that I'm somehow trying to dodge my responsibilities, when I have never earned enough to have to pay them back. If anything they owe me money because they've taken money from me after months where I've earned over the monthly threshold but not the annual one. They wouldn't give me this back, because whilst they're willing to chase me for details, they are not willing to chase HMRC.
Very tempted to write back
'To whomever it may concern,
Thank you for letter dated 6th October. If you believe I have any money owing to you then please inform me of the fact and I shall take all necessary steps to rectify the situation.
Yours sincerely,
Masomnia'

LIR, yes I think I can see a clearer gap immediately to the tree which is on the direct left of the gate in your first examples?
Nice wiring too0 -

but make sure the curled wire ball is retrievable; last thing you need is to find your future dishwasher doesn't drain because the pipe is partly blocked.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. I can't see one for that price. There is one for 10k more, but it's 95sm whereas Maggie's is 110 sm. do corner properties go for more?
I think people underestimate the cost of work, or think they can DIY stuff.

I've not had Passion flower before ( One of the things I love here is experimenting with new plants, including getting it wrong....) and I don't think I appreciated how much we'll be keeping on top of it. Its a tender one...the idea being that the roots are very protected and from what I have read this means we're quite likely to lose the top growth reasonable regularly but it will grow back from base, which is WHY we chose it for there. I hope that's so, because at this rate I'll be praying for cold winters!
I also have no idea what soil we got it in.
When doozer puts foundations in he PUTS FOUNDATIONS IN.. The winter clematis I wanted to slip in near there for winter joy, well, there is no where to put it! Its in a bigger pot for tonight. Its getting to dark to argue .

How does yours compare to the one in the same postcode area at 129,950 whose failings are exposed?
Windbourne Road? It's a lot smaller apart from have gone into loft. Living areas both smaller than ours. Kitchen is roughly half size of ours (Ours 15'8" x 11'9", theirs 12' 4'' x 7' 11''). We have huge bedroom 1, plus 2 double bedrooms, other one even bedroom 1 is fairly small, bedroom 3 is tiny. Our bedroom 3 is 11'11" x 10' 7". Theirs is 9' 3'' x 4' 12''.
Our bay window has 3 faces, theirs has 2. In general it's a much smaller footprint, just has some space that they've gone into the loft. Which may or may not have building regs etc. I haven't tried to work out total square footage, it isn't given that I can find, but the EPC isn't up yet.
While it's in the same postcode area, it's not in as desirable a location in my view. While we are on a busy road and other place is in a bit of a backwater, we have open views to Snowdonia, and across gardens (as far as the Anglican Cathedral from upstairs). And we're set quite well back from the road, with a tree in front (which made it quite difficult for EA to get a photo!). We're over half way up quite a large hill, they are down much closer to the river on the flat. We're a couple of hundred yards from Sefton Park, about the same to Sudley Hall (park and art gallery with some fine Pre-Raphaelite and other paintings).
I guess we might get more photos done when we get the place cleared, but EA thought best to get on the market before the clocks go back and people start hunkering down for Xmas. You know from there you can get directly to his facebook page?
Checked with OH. Some stuff there is Close Friends Only. I'm guessing you're seeing lots of stuff that he is happy for anyone to see. He's double checking though - I'm paranoid!:rotfl: He's taken a look at it "as the general public would see", and it's only petitions and his music stuff. Family pics etc aren't available. At least that's what he tells me. Thanks for the warning though! :T

Look up Windbourne Road L17.
Corner terrace properties do tend to go for more, usually have a bigger footprint, and also have better light from side windows onto road rather than into back yard (which is usually overshadowed by wall between next door). When we got the plans when we bought back in 1973 they showed the 2 rows of terraces in our part of the road, of all the houses ours had the biggest footprint. Upstairs is same as downstairs, no extensions or anything. Since then a few of the other places have had extensions into their back yards (was some trouble with neighbours over one of the ones that took it up to party wall a few years back) but mostly I think they have flat roofs because of going up to party wall. I should Google Earth it again!I think people underestimate the cost of work, or think they can DIY stuff.
:rotfl: I think you're right there! It's fine if you have rellies in the trades. EA reckons it's a house that an investor will buy and do up, possibly for rent. It's a popular area, with good public transport links, and there's even some local shops in walking distance - decent baker, groceries, green grocer. Fishmonger went a few years ago, and I rather think the butcher has gone too. But enough that you could live on what you can buy just down the road. Oh, well placed for good schools too - both state and church.0 -
PasturesNew wrote: »Re price differences, it must be about the road, the area.... in some places you only have to go 100 yards for prices to change by 20%, or more. Sometimes one side of the road's desirable, the other's a hellhole.... or 3 doors up from one side road is great, 3 doors down from the same side road's druggy scum.
I appreciate that, so I asked the question. The other end of the post code area is next to Toxteth, that may mean nothing if the riots of the 80s have resulted in regeneration of the area, on the other hand it could still be a war zone. Its funny. We feel quite exposed, though looking at the picture from that angle at least I can see we aren't. I haven't looked from almost opposite direction yet, I fear it will be some what a different story.0
