Finished part one of Das Boot. 1 hour 45 mins and not a torpedo fired. Made a cup of tea and opened part two. 3 hours. I knew I'd downloaded the long version but that's ridiculous.

Not sure I'll make it to the end, but I kind of want to try :D

You downloaded the wrong series, Mas. You wanted Voyage to The Bottom of the Sea. Hour-long episodes with aliens, time-travellers and monsters, dinosaurs, robots, and.... just check it out.;)

Sounds fun! I'll give it a go.

    Thanks Tahlullah.

I'm off to the Netball this evening (or Neckball as The Girl calls it). TBH I'm not much of a fan but the rest of the family enjoys it and I'll end up wondering off after 20 mins with The Girl to mess about at something, just like I used to when I took her to the Soccer.

Lumberjack day here. We're getting down the old plum covered in ivy that wobbles precariously in the wind.

Some jobs are just sad but have to be done. Eventually the whole little cluster of trees there will have to go, they are in a ropey state mostly too, but, I still like them.

And....its better quality firewood stashed for the future. Its one tree so hopefully won't take that long, but its not that easy a place to get too. Because the bloody oak is still out side, I'd like to get this chopped and in the barn, not ideal. But it can stay there a few years, its dry and well ventilated.

We really must finish that oak soon. Its amazingly hard wood.

Real odd weather. To one side of the cheese room we see blue skies and sun, to the other, the side we need to be on, its grey, and dark.

You might be right, its hot and sunny out there now.

We've done it, its so sad. :(.

Plus side, no risk of tree fAlling wrong direction,
and we found a kiwi escape hole :D.
Tree fell pretty well in the right direction, in a tricky spot, which is good.
It eases very slowly into the destruction of the only nice bit of the back garden at present, even if it is wild.
    There is more light.

    Minuses

Knocked out a lilac, but it was going to happen any way.
Horrid view of the yard ATM,
    Loss of privacy
We need to do some fencing for the medium term.

    One job always creates another!

Well, its chainsawed and stacked ( obviously won't split it till its ready to use in a couple of years ) but now we need to cart round all the stuff and decide what on the mega list to do this afternoon. I did my meagre roadside pot this morning, it looks quite sad tbh.:o. Its also too wet to tidy up verges or lawn or clear round the dog wood, which needs to be done badly.
