We were at a drinks thing tonight where we were told we look much younger than we are. I am guessing the comment mainly applies to fir as I was bereft at my looks again today. Still we nice to pretend a while :).

Also, I was mildly intolerant to something in the room or the non alcoholic cocktail...and kept rubbing my nose. I was trying to work out if any one else was touching their noses, had been rubbing their gums or was exceptionally sociable or anything. I didn't want to look lonely if I was going to look wrongly guilty.

Does that just stop your house being a dead zone for reception?

Yes, some sort of micro-cell, not sure if the neighbours can also benefit or only the registered phone(s).
    I think....

Oh no, really don't put yourself out on my account.:D

The hottest it got today was 9C and by late afternoon the weather broke my Golden Rule: the temperature should never be colder than my fridge (3C) or hotter than me (38C).

Thank you for the welcome. May you visit Sydney on a 45C day. In a suit and tie.

I think the phrase you are looking for is 'least cold' not 'warmest'.

Today on this 'warm' day I wore a t-shirt, long sleeved t-shirt, thin cotton jumper, hoodie and one of those thick waterproof hiking fleece things and was struggling when the wind blew. I had my Akubra on too.

Thankfully I found a pub that sold a reasonable cheap Rioja and had a lovely fireplace. Plus the car I hired has heated seats.

Nothing on your bottom half. No wonder you were cold.

It was a bit chilly today, agreed. Sweat shirt on top of T shirt seemed to be enough. You'll get acclimatised.

I'm not going to display my ignorance and ask what an Akubra is. Some sort of bra, obviously.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • Hi guys

Wow! Just checked my emails, and was so amazingly surprised (in a good good way) to see the notification of a very generous and kind donation to Daisy's Trust.

You really are all very very NICE PEOPLE :-) x

    Thanks for the love guys
A very humbled and thankful IM xxx

An Akubra is a wide brimmed hat made from rabbit fur felt. It's like a Crocodile Dundee hat.

Not a very precisely made bra, then? What a shame.

Worn like a bra though, right?

I understand that you would feel like a tit if you wore it on your head.....

Knee length socks with boots and a knee length skirt does nothing for fat and swollen knees. I'll gladly wear a wide brimmed hat to cover my shame at this poorly chosen outfit. Not that we're going anywhere exciting. Low on chicken feed, and pop in to waitrose for some chicken wings for the cats.

Are the chickens self sufficient at some times of the year, or do you have to feed them all year round?

We feed year round. Feeding partly reminds them where home is etc. they would not starve if we didn't 'to feed them because of the way we keep them and the particular richness of their environment, but this is balanced...so its worth putting out even when they just eat lightly out of routine.
