Middle son's latest drum cover...few little mistakes this week though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZOa1Vuc2_E&list=UUOIwu3s5Ml6v_pKFaXegKFQWe made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Complete change of topic, I'm watching Mrs Henderson Presents on BBC2 and finding it very entertaining, like the costumes too. Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins in it. About the Windmill Theatre.0

Ahem! The costumes don't seem to be properly attached at all necessary times.

Clearly they think their daughter is on to a good thing!
Not sure about that! His exam assignment results have improved since she came on the scene, so definitely a gain that way.Has he met them? He must have made a very, very good impression :A
He has been to stay with them twice and the mother has visited uni occasionally.lostinrates wrote: »Or that you made a good impression on the daughter after your great effort and made her feel comfortable and warm and they are relieved and happy about this? And would like to meet?
Maybe. Not sure we need to meet quite yet. I don't recall my parents meeting my in-laws until we were engaged.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I am not convinced that an analysis of history would support that.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Gen, on the off chance that you are at work and don't know what's going on, please check news radio or internet. Just want to make sure you are safe. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

We didn't meet either SiL's parents till the weddings. But I think that might have been partly down to my inability to travel easily, and our DDs not wanting to force long journeys on me (or them).
My parents got to see DD2 married (though were struggling health-wise by then), but were gone by time DD1 married. Mention that as trying to sort out my parents health issues took a lot of energy and time too. And then when they were gone it took almost 7 years to get their estates sorted out due to the carp solicitor they named in Wills. Thank goodness they also named OH as co-executor. We were still in the relatively early stages of all this carp when DD1 married. Going to loadsa meetings etc etc with accountants etc etc. At least we met SiL before wedding! :rotfl:0 -

Yup, all good.
I work a 10 minute walk down the road from the Lindt Caf! the hostages are in. I was meant to be meeting a mate for lunch at the MLC Centre which is a block down the street (maybe 150 metres).
Xxxxxxxxxxxx
Lindt place was a very occasional treat. It's nice although expensive for what it is. You get the odd 2 for 1 deal which is well worth taking advantage of.
Mrs Generali and the kids are safe and a very long way away from this lunatic. Hopefully it'll resolve itself peacefully. It looks like the actions of a lone nutter rather than a group of organised nutters. I suspect he chose the caf! as it's almost outside the Channel 7 (TV station) building and just down the hill from the State Parliament and a bunch of other official and semi-official buildings.
I hope the police shoot this bloke right in the nuts.0 -
