Help, please.
DW needs a Christmas decorations kit, suitable to put together by adults who may not be very dexterous. I can find paper chains, but that's all. And it must not be too expensive, please.
Can they use scissors?
snowflake cut outs from white squares of paper.....I make them every year...some were stuck to one of the study windows.0 -
I know somebody who sent a thank you text within minutes of arriving home from a pretty frantic rush to the station. Frankly, I thought she deserved to sit down, with a cup of tea and her feet up.

It cannot have been minutes because we'd cleaned up stacked dishwasher, loaded fridge, chucked dogs out, made a hot drink, opened gift and started pouring over it.
After turning round at station we parked and checked platforms and couldn't see you so made sure you weren't hiding in a cold waiting room with a text.
You cannot thank for something after the event before appreciating it, and we were sitting appreciating it with a hot drink! ( fir typed text on his phone, from both of us , my texting is awful too. )

It just occurred to me - is this a planned activity to have 4-6 people sitting round a table, doing it, nattering...? Or is this a gift to send off?
It's for a small group sitting around a table together.
Thanks for all the suggestions. That's very good. I had a fixed idea that these needed to be paper decorations, but of course you are right. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

GDB, how about salt dough decorations?
http://www.parentdish.co.uk/fun-and-activities/christmas-decorations-salt-dough-homemade/
They can be as simple or as complex as you want to make them.
I made salt dough gingerbread men our first year here. Sadly the temps/ cracks etc didn't suit the salt dough and they turned back into sort of crumbling dough.
.
Its still good fun though!0 -
Woohoo! Congrats Mas, that's great news
I'm sure you'll forget your feelings about the wait. And if not, you'll have colleagues and work nonsense to occupy yourself with

Its cheap as wreaths go, but there are other, even cheaper looking sprout wreaths if you google image, I like that this is big and fat.
Also, dexterity....cloves are little and fiddly to push into oranges, but no scissors etc.... Needs no heat etc?0 -
Anyhoo - back to me. Just sent an email I've been putting off since early yesterday morning. I'm off to buy something super unhealthy from the canteen to get over it. I'm definitely not in the 'eats salad under stress' category

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
