Ah, well you didn't say all that first time around (or maybe you did and I missed it).

Perhaps you need to be directer with him. Maybe he's being a jerk.

Of course he's being a jerk, but there are worse things. Brothers can be pretty frank with each other, so just tell him he's being a jerk. If that does not work, just grin downsize the present next year. The big thing is not to turn a crisis into a disaster.

    Such a brilliant idea!

    Funnily getting point across!

    Thank you, will do this!

Receipts no good, as its going to US.

But I really love this idea and I think it would definitely be worth laughing over! Thank you, this is inspired!

That explains why the shipping cost is so high. Would it be no good to just order from Amazon.com in the USA and let them deliver for you? Obviously, not as personal, but it takes some of the strain off you, and it's very MSE.

    Help, please.

DW needs a Christmas decorations kit, suitable to put together by adults who may not be very dexterous. I can find paper chains, but that's all. And it must not be too expensive, please.

I know somebody who sent a thank you text within minutes of arriving home from a pretty frantic rush to the station. Frankly, I thought she deserved to sit down, with a cup of tea and her feet up. :)

GDB, how about salt dough decorations?

They can be as simple or as complex as you want to make them.

Bil has particularly asked for somethings he cannot get ( or get inexpensively) in states. That we are paying for postage etc is neither here nor there ;). Bil is very, very charming but slightly entitled. Of the three bil is the one described in family as of character and charm and leadership fir the kind one and the youngest as being bright.

So it includes stuff like commercial British ' Christmas goods', some European sweet meats, as well as gifts. Not everything is easy to source on amazon.....some is easier to get in the supermarket. ( this part is actually at bils request so I don't know why I'm worrying they might not like it, but it does show the ingratitude in a worse light IMO)

Because the birthday gift to niece of moomin books was successful ( she called kiwi moomin on FaceTime) I chose to send her a book I loved as a small person. I bought her a new copy and that could have been sent direct from amazon, but it seemed sensible to send in one box from Tio Fir and Aunt Lir. I guess that's worth reviewing too though.

A final note, on a phone call between them while bil was in a supermarket bil was discussing with fir new Oreo flavours ( I believe...it was Oreo) for said, oh that sounds good...I want that, can you send me a small packet ( we know their budget is more stretched than ours and would not expect a grocery shop sent from states) bil said....'I'll see but I doubt it, too expensive'. Fair enough. Then said ' please don't forget the jar of Marrons glaces not the loose packet'. And spent two month ps in Europe this summer. So, I do feel he could send his brother a packet of biscuits perhaps, but that's his choice, and ours to send things without expecting reciprocation. I'm just trying to contextualise 'expectation' perhaps.
