Just watching the start of the Apprentice episode 2.

The girls' team have been advised to change their team name from Decadence.

They have picked on Tenacity. Which would be a good idea, except that none of them have realised that it can also be spelt Tena city ... :D

So... I've snuck away from my familial unit to do some work. The view out of the window is slightly distracting...

That's not the view from your front garden is it....

Picture of the kitchen, PN, please. Perhaps in the other place? Let's see if the kitchen is available. I'm sure it would be and therefore better rejigged. Along with pics, who were the developers?

Other place is about to hit the "not until next month" limit :)
It's a pull between doing the bare minimum to get over the biggest annoyance..... going a few extra miles to get it a bit more workable .... and wishing for a lottery win to just have it sorted :)

LOL - I have this on - all these contestants are the sort of super-annoying and dim people I never wish to spend time with.

    That jacket is minging.

.. and why oh why they didn't just lay a floor before fitting the units, god only knows..

I have the opposite problem in the flat. Some bright spark decided to build a hearth before fitting the gas fire. Unbelievably, they built on top of the fitted carpet.

Perhaps it was the same builder who mixed the instructions for the separate properties.
Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

    07/19 - £77,500. 08/19 - £76,000.

It's reaaaaally annoying. It's been on for about seven minutes.

At the moment, it's an exercise in trying to throw other people under the bus. The business owners I know aren't like that.

It always amazes me that people watch what is a piece of entertainment and think it is a serious recruitment exercise/competition. Most board room decision are about what will make the best TV rather than any demonstration of business prowess: quietly competent and you shouldn't have made it through the screening process but expect to get fired very soon as it is screw-ups and opinionated arguments that make the best TV.
    I think....

I've mentioned Fantastic Fiction before. It's a great site for any bookstores of a fiction persuasion.

I accidentally on purpose watched it.

The boys' team this year appears to be entirely populated by the sort of people you'd expect to find in boiler rooms, selling penny shares to pensioners and touting early pension release scams to everyone else.

Normally there are just a couple of those sorts. Maybe the Spanish boiler rooms have hit hard times with the recession...

I miss Stuart Baggs The Brand. He wouldn't have sold shares in a bust AIM company to his granny just to get ahead.

This guy was my favourite candidate. Nearly 10 years on, this is still one of my favourite TV moments ever.
