I haven't done a kitchen for a while, but the last one cost about £1k for kitchen units, work top and plinth, but no fancy cornice on the wall cupboards. Appliances about the same, but you'll be reusing yours, PN? Labour was £2k.

For your washing machine, a better bet would have been sand and cement, rather than a bit of wood. Buy a bag of readimix, mix it up in a bucket, and pour it in the hole level with the existing tiles. Leave it overnight to cure.

I've never replaced a tile floor, but it must be an awful mess. Could you screed over the top and lay vinyl?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

You can do it using the url to the image - which is the link to the image.

On the green bar above, look for User CP. Click that.
On the left, look for Edit Avatar. Click that.
See Option 1 says Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website - well copy/paste the image address into that box.
    Click Save Changes.

Thank you PN - That is easy to follow , but it's saying the image is too large and I don't know how to reduce it to a suitable size :o

Maximum size is 80x80 pixels, so open the file in MS paint or similar, and resize it

I will see if my next/cleaned up one's small enough... if not I'll resize it.

    That'll be it ... it's more like a foot wide I'd imagine :)

    EDIT:

Here it is, 80 pixels wide: http://i59.tinypic.com/24fxwte.jpg

It manages to look super sh1te now ....

I think we also hve to be realistic bout what an NHs can deliver. Its to keep us patched up in a cost effective manner, if of the right age, contributing to the work force in the most economic way practical.

I've never argued more random elements of my weird condition should be paid for by NHs because its not really of cost benefit to society.

Weirdly though, the practise manager spoke to fir ( cos he's dealing with that for me) recently about stuff and they seem to think the first suggested surgery is likely be NHs funded.

Just as spirit finds the failings in a system that she has reason to rely on, it might step up for me properly. Irony. ;). With potential neurological impact on facial nerve Spirit and I might have the appropriate wry smile on occasion.

today i had a long appointment with my gp. he thinks I cannot have future vile days at work and I should adjust my sights to retirement. the rehab black hole is still there but I got on well with the private Physio who came and will see her twice a week so I feel better about it. my mouth is less lop sided smiley now although i am still hiccoughing a lot . i have been proud of walking 50 m, but have been told i have an official range of 10-20 m as my gait further deteriorates after that. i will need to apply for a blue badge even if just for the next year if i am to go anywhere.

gdb I hope your diagnosis is for something easily treatable.
    welcome ivyleaf.

Thanks so much, Pastures! :T :T :T That was such a kind thing to do.

I can't believe I finally have an avatar after so many years on the forum :j :j :j

Wheezy I'm sorry to say moules frites don't appeal to me at all - the smell of the hot shells makes me _pale_ , though I've had a seafood sauce which had mussels in it and that was okay. I'd never make a real Belgian, would I :D

Oh, NDG and Maggie, you mentioned Saplings the other day. My DD1 appeared on my doorstep one day last year and said "I've just finished reading this book, and you MUST read it before it has to go back to the library!"

It was Saplings, and I loved it, sad though it was. I was really surprised, as I hadn't realised Noel Streatfeild had written any books for adults.

Being reminded of it made me think I'd love to read it again, so I went to the library yesterday and was able to borrow it again (which is the only reason I've managed to spell "Streatfeild" correctly).

I have been inspected. He saw my Y9 lesson. He said nice things about it to me afterwards. I am soooo relieved it is over. (They are observing more lessons tomorrow but it's my day off so not my problem.) :D
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Ivyleaf, I noticed that Noel Streatfeild has undergone something of a resurgence lately and a lot of the books are in recent reprint. We have them at my library now too.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Glad that is over for you, my wife is a primary school teacher and currently teaching 30 kids in a mix year 1 and 2 using two different curriculum's with children who range from being reception level to year 3. She envies her sister who works at the Odeon despite loving her job and being graded outstanding by Ofsted nobody can love the 60+ hour weeks and consistent meddling from politicians playing football.
