Today fir and kiwi and I went to look at fire places.
Kiwi practised curling up and stretching out infront of the ones he liked best. Very cute. The ones he liked best were coincidentally all the ones that were lit ( the one we are looking at getting was not lit so he showed no interest at all). However, once he finds out that the hearth is going to have a floor level profile I expect him to show more interest.
Then on the way back I tried on a nearly six hundred pound pair of boots, reduced to£275. They did look lovely, and were comfortable, but really, I struggle to think where I'd where them these days so even I couldn't justify it. Fir kept saying if hadn't bought shoes for ages , that they were very me, and when you think how many cheap shoes I haven't bought these were a steal. But I put them back. Then coming back round the corner took them out of fir's hands at the till and put them back again.
I feel very virtuous. Which is silly, no one should feel virtuous for not buying expensive boots they probably will not wear.0 -
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday dear nice person ( but no hugs I promise)
Happy birthday to you.
( please tell me I got the right day, I am exceptionally bad with birthdays so would be typical of the one I try to remember I get wrong. )0 -

Isn't there a part of the forum that says whose birthdays it is today?:)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

I'm actually putting a tree up this year! Not sure how I will feel once it is up but it is an improvement on previous years where I absolutely refused to decorate.
Won't be doing any other decorations, just the tree..now all we have to decide is whether to actually go for a real tree for the first time ever (local farm does not charge the earth for them), or try to find the bits of the old fake tree which we used to put up (my hate of the Christmas tree has meant that bits might not be in the box where they should be :rotfl:)
Oh and when it should go up, the boys want it up early, I want to leave it as late as I possibly can and then take it down 3 days later before it depresses me too much...so progress but maybe not as much as the boys think I have made.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Only for posters who have entered their birthday into their profile.
I can see that in the mini statistics box on my user CP page, but is there somewhere that shows a list of today's birthday's?
