Had quite a nice day today.
Spent much of the day in focus group meetings, which was easy money really.
Nice time with the German. She's quite lovely. One of those people that when you meet her seems a bit cold and standoffish but when you get talking to her definitely has a softer side. Very smart and very beautiful. Said I'd like to see her again, she said she would like to see me too. Positive outlook I think.

Agar agar.
'Tis the very thing. Not digestible so it's roughage. Doesn't go off in a hurry unless you add other nutrients to it. Use it a lot at work.
Oh, it's hard when your parents start getting older and you've nobody to give you a hug about it.I went to hospital today for a routine appointment. It was good and bad. Some really bad.
Bad: It turns out that I'm going to the Leukaemia Clinic!
Good: I don't think I have Leukaemia.
Good: My Haemoglobin has gone up again. It was down.
Bad: It goes up and down, and if it goes down again they want to take a bone marrow sample. An absolutely horrid test.
Very, very bad: Whilst I was in the waiting room, one of the other patients collapsed with a heart attack. The crash team took far too long to arrive, 5 minutes I reckon, and they could not revive him. It might have made no difference if they had got there sooner, but it is concerning. All this was going on 3 metres away. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Signs your relationship is past its first flush of romance,
You're talking on the phone, in a not particularly wholesome manner and not getting much response,
'What are you doing fir'
'I, um, I'm eating a salmon sandwich'.
Ok....I get that. The guy is hungry.
' mmm, and then , after that?' I purr.....
'After that I'm going to eat a doughnut'.
Ok, we'll talk later I guess!0 -

I noticed Lydia talking about cooking mousses with chocolate oranges earlier.......much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Cripes GDB. Hope you're ok. You have my very, very best wishes.0 -
Playing catch up time...
I didn't post this morning as I was busy reporting spam, like pretty much everyone else it seems.I think we are all much in agreement, so I am not sure where all the heat is coming from. Clearly, the extent of the crime matters. You would not automatically drop any friend who got a parking fine or was late returning a library book.
Well I would, obviously:rotfl:
(not really)Dangerously on topic.
I must have had my head in the sand. Sunday Times Home section talks about house prices being "back up to" 2006-7 levels in most areas now. In my little corner of the world prices are near double that level.
My own house has gone up more than 50% over that period. Bonkers.Round my way, Harpenden, they certainly are 60-80% above the low point of early 2009. Bigger houses seem to have risen more than smaller ones.
As for my flats in London - they certainly are close to double their low price point five years ago!

Don't forget that in most cases as an exporter I pay tax on the value of the finished article as it forms my revenue stream.
As an importer I a get tax credits for the value of the imports as it's part of my cost base.
Exporters have a desire to minimise the official value of what they export in many cases and importers a desire to maximise in many cases.
Also as the article says there are plenty of errors in the official data. In the UK balance of payments data the balancing item is huge. I'll dig it out sometime when I'm not lyingin awaiting a hospital checkup.0
