Will trawl round a few shops today and see what I can find.

Went round a lot of shops. Bought various things that I needed that have nothing to do with clothes for work. Still no work clothes. :(

I'm applying for another role in the company I'm currently with.
First hurdles have been cleared :), next one is interview with some senior managers and 'giving a presentation'. Gosh I hate that. Presentations. Bah. :(

    Good luck Wheezy. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

The average new build house is 76 sq m - although they don't say what sort of house that is, I suspect it's an average 3-bed. I just looked up the (spacious) 1950s build council house I grew up in and that was 80 sq m.

A previous listing for my house suggests it is just over 100 sq. m.

I am also concerned about fire or electrocution risks with these blankets. I'm with you 100% on that! :)

How about a hot water bottle? I love mine.

I put it at the bottom of my bed whilst I'm brushing my teeth etc, so when I get in the bit where my feet will be is nicely warmed up :)

I always think of electric blankets as being for those who sleep alone, not sure if that is because if you share a bed you don't need the extra warmth or because of the increased risk of fluid spills ;)

Perhaps GDB's DD is trying not so subtly trying to suggest that GDB is being a little to MSE with his thermostat settings.....
    I think....

    I would like to boast.

Today I made the bed by myself. It might not sound much, but its a task where you bend over a LOT, and lift while bending over. I haven't really tried for ages.

I didn't need to as we remade the bed at the weekend, but I wanted to as I had a really long nap today after my body worker finished with me and the bed felt very 'used'.

If i want to make the bed usually its a very slapdash affair till fir gets back. This is a properly made bed.

This makes me feel very independent and able.

Isn't Mdina beautiful? Anyone who hasn't been there, it's a walled city and there are no cars allowed inside the city walls. It's very old and pretty.

    It's lovely!

For NP that don't know, it's the old capital, I found out this morning :)

This is the sort of community spirit I love.

Locals are helpful, and many have tried to become involved in some small way, right from the top down.

She seems a very nice lady, even though I've only spoken to her very briefly in the corridoor.

    I do the same :)

Mine has a cow on it, and I paid about £5 for it, several years ago.

Thanks, it feels incredible. The cleaners confirmed they are starting on Wednesday morning.

I suppose I better tell RP soon. :D.

RP still hasn't noticed the upstairs corridor has an undercoat of pain on it and is white not plaster coloured. Did ask if I'd cleaned the bathroom ( bloody roll eyes smiley really missed). Because of cause, I don't do that all the time. The coat of paint outside obviously makes it look cleaner. :rotfl:

Not enough, just not enough. A water bottle and two cats isn't even enough.
