    I've been Money Tipped!
Just turned over to catch the tail end of Posh Pawn. Channel 4, so I've also the option of watching the start on 4+1.

Liberty of London starts at 9pm on Channel 4 LIR!

I have a wash finishing about then, so will be fussing about with the drier for a while. ( my long afternoon nap and impromptu bed changing has left me with over run chores list..... RP is going to late walk the dogs ( I then have to go and check all gates shut;), but its a nice offer)

I came home ready to make a request about doors being shut when cooking - I'm pretty sure I've been walking around today smelling of fish

I stopped for a chat on the way out of the office, then called in at the supermarket (got back last night after being away since Thurs).

When I finally made it home, my lodger looked very relieved to see me - and I found a missed call on my phone. It's nice to be missed :) And my nag was disarmed :o

Please don't quote as may delete...

Pastures, thank you so much for this, I can't begin to tell you what a great spot that was.

The dodgy thing I had removed I had looked at by a doc who said it was fine, but it kept growing and my aunt, whose son had Mel diagnosed as his 21st birthday present, suggested I got it checked out anyway. So I took myself off to a private clinic who did lots of digital images. They identified my main one as a potentially rare form of Mel and the fact that I have three pre cancerous moles remaining.

I have chosen, as many do, to leave those in situ and monitor them. So far this has proven the right course of action. I've already had three other bits of me removed and the main one took a lot of skin and tissue. I don't want anymore unless I have to. However what you have identified is a great and cost-effective way of monitoring. Less than £20 pa for peace of mind... great idea. Thank you.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

GDB or Gen, if either of you are so minded to help, the alphabet thread over in the Arms is stuck for a username beginning with G at the moment. It's quite silly, but fun if you fancy helping out.

ETA... they now have their G. No doubt they'll get stuck again at Y. It always gets stuck at Y.

    Last job of my day.

Dog dog has a new muzzle, but it had the word super market on it. I didn't want her to feel too off the shelf, so I have painted it out, with nail varnish, admittedly slightly messily.

Sadly I didn't have a red to match, so its now two tone.

Not seen those threads before - they seem slightly bonkers but rather fun :)

I've only managed to be the z once, when I beat zennith to it.;)

This sounds creepy, :o but if saw your photo, and you are very lovely looking. I expected as much of course!

The Arms used to have a really long photo thread. Torbrex (who does brilliant travel photo threads) has restarted it after it was removed. Three of the NPs had photos in the earlier version back in the day.

Really? Looks like the finger of land that juts out into the sea with Valetta harbour one side and Sliema the other to me.

    Correct.

I did think I put this, I promise. I've been on computer literally 10 minutes, and iPhones are useless.

    I would like to boast.

Today I made the bed by myself. It might not sound much, but its a task where you bend over a LOT, and lift while bending over. I haven't really tried for ages.

I didn't need to as we remade the bed at the weekend, but I wanted to as I had a really long nap today after my body worker finished with me and the bed felt very 'used'.

If i want to make the bed usually its a very slapdash affair till fir gets back. This is a properly made bed.

This makes me feel very independent and able.

    :j:j:j:j

Glad you have been doing so well.

My Tado stuff has arrived. I have registered online and answered lots of v detailed questions about the exact models of everything in my current heating system (boiler, controller, wireless receiver & wireless thermostat). I have attached the "bridge" (whatever that is) to my router, and I have installed the app on my phone and linked it to my login. When I log in, it now knows that I am at home, so that part of it seems to be working OK. :)

The online setup thingy now says it will soon be sending me detailed and specific instructions about what to do to install the hardware, now that it knows exactly what's there at present, but that because it hasn't already got ones for my particular combination of components, I will have to wait a day or two for instructions to be emailed to me.

I am now less convinced that I will be able to do this myself, simply because it says at one point on the youtube overview of how to install it that you have to have the box at least 40cm from the boiler, and my current controller box is right next to the boiler, so if I install the new box on the old backplate, it will be too close. If drilling is required to position the new backplate, I'll be getting helpful-builder in to do it, or possibly the male half of best-friends-next-door.

Day off coming up. I need to buy more work clothes. I now have a capsule wardrobe consisting entirely of things that are really too old and worn out to be fit for wearing to work. :o So my task for my day off is to try to find some shop that sells work wear that hasn't cleared it all out of the shop for the next couple of months to make space for all the "occasion wear". This may prove difficult. :(

ETA If any NP or lurkers reading this are thinking of getting one, I advise you to order it direct from Tado (via their website) - much cheaper than buying it from Amazon or anywhere else.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I'm currently trying to get to grips with finance business ratios so I can teach Josh how to do them....his business studies teacher is not the best to be honest! I've asked and Josh has asked for an explanation on how to calculate all the different ones but so far, no help at all...apart from to ask for the unit to be completed.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
