    Congrats LiR

I absolutely hate DIY with a passion and ended up assembling a bed for a family member not long before coming here. I'll publicly admit here I felt proud too :)

Really? Looks like the finger of land that juts out into the sea with Valetta harbour one side and Sliema the other to me.

    I would like to boast.

Today I made the bed by myself. It might not sound much, but its a task where you bend over a LOT, and lift while bending over. I haven't really tried for ages.

I didn't need to as we remade the bed at the weekend, but I wanted to as I had a really long nap today after my body worker finished with me and the bed felt very 'used'.

If i want to make the bed usually its a very slapdash affair till fir gets back. This is a properly made bed.

This makes me feel very independent and able.

I am just about to explain to DW that the reason I had to remake the beds and launder the sheets was because a slapdash affair with my body worker had left me feeling very tired and used from all the bending over and lifting by the time they had finished with me :)

This will amuse you lot, eBay item, starting price 1000, I bid 1101 with 2s to go, at the same instant as someone else (bid sniper?) bid 1105 thus I was pwned by less than the min bid increment :(
    I think....

Spirit, not been around the Np thead for a while, great to hear that you are progressing so well.

I'd love to meet your lot too. I think you'd 'get' dog dog too. She's a very special girl who forms few bonds, but very close ones, and I think she's love you.

This sounds creepy, :o but if saw your photo, and you are very lovely looking. I expected as much of course!

    Well done.

    I'd like ... a bed :)

Are you still wanting an ottoman bed?

I'll stick with surrounding myself with bits and bobs that make me smile :)

That's the real aim. And the best way. I like it to look a way that pleases me too. Others still like it to look a way they think others will approve of.

I'd like one, but I've seen the price. They also, mostly these days, seem to require one to build it yourself from bits.... well, we all know how well I do at that. So, with price, size/weight, construction issues all stacking up against me I'll probably just break down and get a cheap frame at some point and consign that to the "list of things that weren't meant to be"

Personally I think a better option practically might be a normal frame with plastic bed boxes on wheels for underneath. Might be much more manoeuvrable, light and easier anyway.
