.
Do they still make that processed meat that looks like a face? I wanted it at my mother used to say know and point out it would be in a sandwich so wouldn't see it anyway.
Billy Bear?
I'm sure I've seen a Thomas the Tank Engine one too.
I'm not sure I've ever eaten either. Luncheon meat doesn't appear - even if it's shaped like a bear.
Bat balloons on the other hand...0 -
I have (very mostly) Good and Bad news.
Bad news: I can't start my bonfire of papers tonight
Good news: had a very nice email - supervisor will look over what I've sent, asked me to pester, said he is glad I'm settled (in my Monday email I'd said that I still felt overwhelmed by the writing, but that I could act like a normal person for most other things - have held down a job for 2yrs, pay mortgage on time, meet deadlines - sometimes even do things early and above expectations).
I will submit a thesis this year. I will.
Well, back to work then.
Even when you don't duly commit you cannot help being brilliant you see.0 -

We used to have sandwich paste or jam mostly. Or tomato sandwiches and cheese sandwiches (separate) for picnics. And egg/salad cream.lostinrates wrote: »
The other problem is I don't really like cold meat all that much, lol. :rotfl: when I didn't board and had pack up sandwiches were a nightmare for my poor mother. I would eat ham and coleslaw for a while, the chicken and coleslaw. Then I went of those. She tried so hard to be inventive and keep my interest. Fwiw date and cream cheese was not a winner. No way no how. I did really like sand which paste, to everyone's surprise and disgust. I still do. Its a guilty pleasure. No free range sand wich past I know of.
. But I make a good chicken one my self and a tuna one to the same recipe ( I prefer chicken, fir prefers tuna. Its a bit too nice though. It doesn't have the sort of gummy mean quality of the 'real' stuff.
I still buy the occasional sandwich paste - I like the strong ones, so sardine/tomato. I also like crab paste.0 -

Irony:
The partner who makes the biggest fuss about people being contactable at all times is taking a load of people, inc fir, to supper tonight........in a restaurant in a basement.
Fir said to him he'd have to pop upstairs and get someone to cover his emails. Did that then had to phone me and laugh for two minutes.0 -
Yay, congrats Nikks! I think you need to award yourself the evening off, with a nice takeaway and a glass of wine. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

This is the one I fell in love with, but more like 40 cm than 4 inches:http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/amscan-minishape-black-bat-balloon/590681-1000
You might get a photo in a few days - there are some dead flowers in a vase in the way at the moment

Nah, leftovers out of the fridge. I did treat myself to a rather nice Belgian beer though (a Leffe Nectar if anyone is interested).
