If I say 'pick 10 individual dishes from the list of 15' or something then if there are one or 2 that are pricey it's no biggie as the average price is what matters really.
Until I come along, wearing my :money: hat and ask for 10 x your most expensive item. 'Cos if you were really good you would be cooking for my dinner party and I would be passing it off as home made.

Yes, I think a lot of people would think like that. I shudder at paying a lot for pasta ready meal or bottled tomato sauce for pasta but otoh LOTS of people do it I think. So there is a market.
Crucially on gens list there is something I might try and that's the aubergine thing. I don't go down ready food aisles so a bit like pn was saying, I wouldn't see it to try it, but it looks like something if someone said...'you must try this range' I could eat both ethically and with interest.0 -

There sure is but that's a business for another day. I want to focus on one thing at first and branch out as I see opportunities.0 -
There's definitely a market for private dinner party food. Effectively, becoming a caterer. Prepare at home, then bring it to the client and cook it for them. That's one option. Or takeaway of ready made food.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

It's possible that the catering route is easier. It's certainly tried and tested, but possibly harder to gear up and grow.
Possibly, Silver and I are biased because we know how much kosher caterers charge. It's an arm a leg, and then some more. And it seems to be money for old rope.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Are arms and legs kosher? Sorry, had to ask. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
