The idea really is to compete against take away food for price.
Remind me again, how are you thinking of selling the meals? to me the main difference wrt takeaway is that you wouldn't be able to decide that evening 'I know, I'll get one of those yummy Gen meals'. Not saying that is necessarily a problem, but still.
Thinking about the 'pitch' of healthy and delicious (and eithical), reminded me a bit about Leon (not that one, this one: http://leonrestaurants.co.uk/)0 -
The idea really is to compete against take away food for price. Take away is generally higher quality and more varied in Aus than in the UK so it's quite normal for people to have it 2-3 nights a week plus maybe the same number or more lunches.
You can get take away for about $10/head so that's the price point really. Make it tastier and 'healthier' and I should get decent sales.
At $9/meal I'm probably pricing myself a little way above supermarket ready meals. Given that at the outset packaging is going to be a bit rough I think that's ok. As the product gets slicker I should be able to charge a little more, especially for multi-person dinners.
I know Cook very well. I used to go into one of their branches regularly.
I think this is quite ambitious.
If takeaway is a strong market as you say and its varied and better than uk takeaway and has a strong convenience aspect. Your product is going to be less convenient and cost more ( washing up dishes, heating up costs). And, however wide your range, if the takeaway market is that good and varied its going to be a tough sell. Maybe that's why there is less freezer food ( in urban areas would explain it at least) ?

is this normal for you?
When to see your GP
Most nosebleeds are minor and usually stop with some self care. You only need to visit your GP if you have heavy or frequent nosebleeds.
Bleeding may be heavier or last longer if you have high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, a condition where your blood doesn't clot (thicken) properly, or if you're taking medication that thins your blood (anticoagulants), such as warfarin or aspirin.
If you have a nosebleed that lasts longer than 30 minutes, go to your nearest accident and emergency (A&E) department as soon as possible.

I was just about to post when I did a first aid course a couple of years ago they said after thirty minutes was the time to seek attention.
Hope it clears up“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Scurvy can cause nosebleeds, although that seems unlikely this case. Very, very unlikely. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Well, it certainly sounds as if you should be a front runner :T I get really cross when I hear anyone comment about the "long holidays and short working hours" teachers supposedly have. They should try it, is all I can say. I'm not a teacher myself, but my best friend was. She's retired now, but I know how much work she (and her husband, another teacher) had to do in the evenings, weekends and holidays.
My DD1's best friend has started just this term as a teacher in Reception, and spends most of her weekends working.
Thank you.Supportive comments about teachers always appreciated.
On the teacher front there is too much work required for too few man hours its not a viable profession long term for anyone in the current format, you wont see many 50+ year olds in primary school classrooms now.
...
So having been told by the ofsted inspection earlier in the year she was outstanding we have still decided together she cant do this work load forever and as soon as she has our children its part time from then on or a different job.
I also have a friend who is doing his first year teaching in 6th form and he is struggling despite having multiple degree's and being from a highly educated hard working muslim family who all speak 4 or 5 languages he has also decided to change by going and teaching in the middle east in a year or two instead because of the paperwork killing the enjoyment of actually teaching engaging lessons.
The system is FUBAR!
I can thoroughly recommend teaching part time, if you can afford it financially. Especially if you can get a job in an independent school where you don't have to keep ticking national curriculum boxes all the time.
Teaching part time is particularly great if you have your own kids, because you don't have to shell out millions of quid in childcare for school holidays.I hate Doctor appointment booking systems with a passion, ours uses the first to ring up gets to go method, naturally its engaged so you have to redial 50 times at 8am to get through. Count me as in favour of paying a small charge and online booking, It is one of the reasons i dont go as much as i really should.
Ours is great. If you are not urgent, you say so, and you can get an appointment in a few days, or maybe a week. If you think you are urgent and want an appointment today, they take your details and today's triage doc phones you back. Sometimes they decide they can deal with you on the phone (and perhaps write a prescription for you to pick up or something), which saves a lot of time. I imagine sometimes they decide you're not urgent and tell you to make an appointment in a few days, but that's never happened to me. If they think you do indeed need to be seen today, you can just go in, and the triage doc will see you with not much of a wait.
It works best if you're not very fussed about which of the docs you see, but since they all seem to me to be both competent doctors and nice people, that doesn't bother me. I'm very happy with it.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
