    I've been Money Tipped!
Nail varnish is amazing these days.

I saw a gorgeous one in the pharmacy yesterday I was tempted by but didn't get as I have something passably close already. I just love colours.

    Mmm, sparkly nail varnish :)

Is it widely available and reasonably priced?

It's this one, which I got from TK Maxx.

As ever, depends what you call reasonably price, I guess! I think it looks a bit like my toes are very cold. But at least they're also sparkly :)

I have a lady that comes and does my nails. I'm far too lazy to do my own. Or rather, I'd do it and then let it all flake off. She has somewhere between 2-300 colours. It's always a chore to decide what to have.

I remember having crystal teardrops to stick to my face in the nineties. It's been a while! I think I'd look like a middle aged crazy if I wore that kind of stuff now, even though I adore it. Maybe the irridescent stars could find their way into a piece of interior design. I have stars jut like that on a tiny little piece of sewn art.

I have painted my toenails a purpley gold colour today. ( I also binned two nail varnishes that had separated, didn't through them all though). Some how bright toe nails don't feel at all silly. In the way glueing stuff to my face does...I mean, fine when you're young. But not now. :(

Add the stars to your toes. Clear nail varnish on the top to keep them stuck on.

Yes and yes. nails inc and Barry M are 2 cheap makes with lots of sparkly bits.

Ritter Sport choc is lovely. I like the peppermint cream one best, but Lidl don't seem to sell that one.

I remember having sparkly nail polish many years ago......1969, I think it was :D And pale pink lipstick! i don't use nail polish now really as one of my hands is shaky.

Spirit - I want to apologise if my recent post upset you or seemed rude...the one where i said your posts were "like your self again". I joined the NP thread after you'd had the stroke, but i had been lurking for the previous several threads feeling too shy to join in, so i had got used to peoples' personalities and style of posting. I put it a bit thoughtlessly though, or probably better still if I'd not said anything at all :o Sorry.

my nails are unpainted at present, but look quite good. I am keeping them a bit shorter as my left hand curls up tightly and the nails dig into the palm. yesterday OH used an oil and salt scrub to give me an all over exfoliate. my skin is now soft and smells of herbs. he massaged my feet. my toes are unpainted but the nails look really clean, well shaped with neat cuticles.i felt like he scrubbed the last of the hospital off me. it was lovely .

my oh and dd have been so wonderful over the last two months. I have never felt more loved. both of them have put me first time after time.

no apology needed at all. I did not see any inference of rudeness. feel free to pull me up if I get miserable/sorry for myself. I am someone who travels further with a kick up the ar5e than with a pat on the back.

Saw the next therapist today. I liked her. DD liked her too. DD says she thinks she prefers this one to yesterday's one.

Have also bought lightbulbs for the living room. Just about to put them in the fittings.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
