All the more reason to keep them then
Why not? Could brighten up the day. Or you could camouflage yourself and hide in the sparkly corner
I have painted my toenails a purpley gold colour today. ( I also binned two nail varnishes that had separated, didn't through them all though). Some how bright toe nails don't feel at all silly. In the way glueing stuff to my face does...I mean, fine when you're young. But not now.0 -
I nodded off. Something handy being watched on ebay, currently 0 bids on it.... so, if that stayed like that, it might mean snapping it up for the £15 starting price. I'll stay quiet on what it is... but I fear it might require a removals man/van to bring it over. Although technically it'd come apart, that can break things irreparably, but at £15, if 0 bids but mine on it, it's worth a punt. Auction ends at 5.30. You can't go wrong at £15, no matter what the item is (within reason).
When I woke from my nap I thought I'd missed it.... I can never remember what's on the watch list/when, just that "stuff is on there, so try not to miss it".
Edit: Oh, I'd misread the description. It's 2 pieces, one photo. Tiny print, last line says it's not for the lot, it's for one part of the 2.
How annoying. Now I have to find the other part and reconsider.0 -

I bought some sparkly sparkly nail polish last weekend, before I was exiled to the house (sparkly silver and sparkly teal twinkly bits). I then cut my nails very short so I couldn't blame them for my rubbish typing speed. And decided painting my nails probably wasn't the best use of my time.
Regardless of whether it is a 'young person' thing or not, would you enjoy sticking stars on your face? Ever? I think if you want to glue stars to your face then that makes it fine. However old or young you are.
Edit: I now have sparkly toenails. What a great idea. Thanks for the inspiration lir0 -
Next np meet up?
In stead of carnations in our pocket, or safety pins like old stylers do, I can send you all stars to glue to your cheek bones.0 -

The gold stars just add to the mystique of who LIR was before she became a wreckstorator.....I think....0 -

All these clues are lost on meI think....0 -
I used to like getting gold stars at school. I remember I had a piece of yellow folded cardboard that the teacher stuck the stars into. Gold, silver .... and I also remember them being red, blue and green. No idea if the school kept those cards, or if it came with us when I was 10 and we moved and it was binned. I suspect the school kept them and handed them out when stars were handed out so we could stick them in and hand the cards back.0

Yup, mine was under a fiver :rotfl:. Around £4.50 I think. It's apparently £8ish a bottle when not on offer, depending on how much you believe that (I don't).
Of course; that's the basis on which I buy my wine. Look for the decent offers!PasturesNew wrote: »
Of course, the trouble for me is that it takes about 1/2" of booze in a glass to get me squiffy, so no point drinking alcohol on that basis.
Takes me 4 or 5 nights to work through a wine bottle, often, as I'm happy after 1 glass - particularly if it's a work night as I don't sleep well after wine.St Albans..
The Bakehouse in St A was mentioned in the sermon at church this morning. It sounded rather good!0 -

Posh alert? Knowing any brands of choc other than cadburys far exceeds my capabilities. Except nestle....and Mars...and Rowntrees...Thorntons and Lindt. I'd better stop now
You forgot Terry and Fry's for startersI bought some sparkly sparkly nail polish last weekend, before I was exiled to the house (sparkly silver and sparkly teal twinkly bits).
