Probably not a couple of inches!
This is one of those things where you get legal advice and hope that the neighbour isn't a complete pr1ck. Bulletin boards don't cut it here.0 -
For anyone who reads the house buying board, there seems a lot of posts about garden grabbing neighbours. I'm just waiting until someone meets their adversary on the board.
No disputed land here, so all is good!
25 minutes in, having a coffee break. No worse than the last construction company I used💙💛 💔0 -

Thought the nice peeps might like this. Numbers 1 & 2 in a short series entitled, "Causation is not correlation":
Those are from Tyler Vigen's website, called Spurious Correlations. http://www.tylervigen.com/.
He set up a programme to compare random pairs of small sets of data, and after comparing many, many pairs the two graphs you showed are some of the 'best'.
Curiously, I thought that website was flagged up in this forum previously? Possibly by you, Gen? Or did I see it somewhere else?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I found this on FaceBook, and have spent most of today reading the comments and watching scary stuff on YouTube... Have enough viewing to keep me going for months!

Lovely the correlations, peeps. Will pass them on to the department once half term is over.
Thanks.
I have done a lot of marking today. There is still a lot to do. Maybe I can take advantage of it as a motivator to do some housework instead. Or maybe not.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Waiting for the predicted rain to arrive after a productive day so far. An hour's worth of weeding on my main allotment plot (no longer as I had to move the car from the residents' parking), then digging up sweetcorn and doing more weeding on the plot I share with someone else. Had had enough by about 2pm, and needed to clear the leaves from the lawn before mowing it, so came back home. That's done, the new flower bed has fertiliser on it and the baby cabbages have been planted (probably too late but if you don't try then it definitely won't work!).
Not looking forward to getting out of bed tomorrow or, probably even more so, in 2 days' time. Or trying to sit down on something.. My hamstrings are never going to forgive me!:o0 -
Waiting for the predicted rain to arrive
Yesterday scaffold went up around the house across the road, and a skip was delivered. This morning the roofers were there and stripped off all the tiles. One of them was wearing immaculately white underpants! :rotfl: Rain arrived already here - so far they've only got the roof liner up, and that isn't fully battoned down. Hope we don't have wind forecast! They've gone home early.
Well done at the lottie! We must get there soon as there's an inspection coming up. Not started the kale seeds yet.But we have onion sets and some garlic to plant, so at least it'll look as if we're doing something!
