Personally I suggest you quit while you are ahead, despite being very angry at what happened.
As far as I know, defamation is not dealt with in the small claims court, and pursuing it in a regular court can be very expensive if you lose.
As things have now been sorted out, you probably haven't suffered actual loss from their actions other than lost time and stress, which may be difficult to quantify.0 -
sorry im not going to quit while im ahead, why should they get away with what they have done over the last 3 months scott free?
just read about a case with lidle or aldi, where they accused a boy of shoplifting (stealing) that cost them £6000 out of court (libel)
I will not let this lie not a hope in hells chance.
£250 is a very reasonable amount, and I believe it will cost them more then that should I refer this to the ombudsman / regulator.0 -

Quite right...these companies use there size to bully one man when it suits them.
Normally I'd say quit while you're ahead, but, damaging you credit report and setting debt collectors on you could have had far reaching implications.
You could have lost a job you where going for or missed a flat you where trying to buy. I would take legal advice if I were you, and I would let Vodafone know about it as well. We’ve had to remove your signature. tempted to give the ceo a chance, if they refuse just submit a claim for £250 to the county court, cant see them defending it based on the amount and hopefully they just pay up, im quite happy to take a gamble on the court fee.
and that's exactly what they did do, bully me and intimidate me with debt collectors then told lies about me to the credit reference agency's - which by the way they had no permission to do so and should not of even been accessing my credit files - due to the fact that the contract was cancelled within 14 days as per the dsrs
ill update this in time as its not the end of the matter far from it.0 -
just took a screen shot of there dirty lying little red marks on my credit file too.0
