17Mb/sec is the maximum line speed, the usage is unlimited.Well that's the deal link I went through, but I was going for higher than 17mb... not sure that's going to be enough for my usage!
Edit: or are you saying you *need* fibre because broadband isn't fast enough for you? In which case, the fibre section of the MSE page is here.0 -
My EE ADSL speed is significantly slower and more error-prone than Sky was on over the same phone line.0

Mine increased from about 4 Mbps to 6.5 Mbps when they switched my broadband from Plusnet. However, I think I'm still receiving it over a BT line. It will be interesting to see what happens when I'm switched over to their LLU network. My EE ADSL speed is significantly slower and more error-prone than Sky was on over the same phone line.0 -
So it turns out that my first bill contains broadband billed at the full rate of £9.95. It isn't obvious, because line rental and broadband are bundled together and then a line rental saver discount is applied. EE CS have confirmed this is indeed the case and it's a result of the discount and contract periods being out of sync. A quick call to 17070 also suggests I'm still on a BT line, so they've started billing me for phone services they aren't yet providing. I can feel a complaint brewing.

I'm sure I'm not alone - Do check your bills carefully and make sure you aren't being overcharged.0 -
In our case, EE are using a BT Wholesale Line Rental and Calls product to provide our calls. (Dunno if EE does Local Loop Unbundling on some exchanges.) Calls are correctly appearing on our EE on-line recent calls list. 17070 still connects to BT/Openreach's "this circuit is defined as ..." And (for the time being?) 18185 still gives indirect access to Finarea.A quick call to 17070 also suggests I'm still on a BT line, so they've started billing me for phone services they aren't yet providing...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Well I made a couple of calls yesterday, which have duly shown up on my old provider's itemised billing today, so I am now sure that I'm being billed for line rental for a phone line that isn't yet being provided by EE.A quick call to 17070 also suggests I'm still on a BT line, so they've started billing me for phone services they aren't yet providing. Mmm looks like my problems with EE is small cheese then. My old connection was cut on Monday and is this supposed to have been a seamless switch? I was led to believe so but I am still waiting for the router to be delivered. The last time I switched was to go from Plus Net to Talk Talk which as I can remember was rather no fuss but that was probably 3 - 4 years back.0

So TalkTalk was your provider before EE? Presumably you had phone and broadband and it was LLU, so EE wouldn't be able to provide broadband until your phone line had switched? If so, it should all be switched over on the same day.Snooping4Value wrote: »Mmm looks like my problems with EE is small cheese then. They should have given you a date when your new broadband would go live. If you've reached that date but not yet got your router, you may be able to edit the username and password on your existing router to get connected (you should have an email with your broadband username and password).0 -
I've had no end of problems with EE since going for the £2.50 a month offer. Bad, slow (I mean worse than dial up slow) internet for the best part of 2 months and constantly being messed about by them. They have done endless line tests etc and it's still not resolved. I tried to leave but they say the only way I can leave is to pay them £125 cancellation fee and lose the £130 odd quid I paid upfront for my line rental which I cannot afford. So I'm stuck in a mess !0
